Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan penned an op-ed that published Tuesday in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution imploring his fellow Republicans to move on from President Donald Trump’s election fraud claims and look to the runoff.
There’s a well-known disaster movie trope in which one person implores a crowd to stay calm as panic sets in. This person usually has seconds to survive before being zapped. It’s laudable of this fellow to try to calm everyone, but just saying.
President Trump, in my opinion, is being pulled from the game too early. However, we must respect the sanctity of the American electoral process. The people have decided to pull him from the game. It is time — for the good of the country — to hand over the ball rather than blame teammates, umpires, or the game itself.
Gee, Geoff, a bit more obsequious please. We wouldn’t want anyone thinking you’re growing a spine, would we?
Taking the argument a step further than other Republicans in the state, he said that Trump’s loss was a teachable moment, showing the party that an outsider can be a “change agent,” but that Republican voters prefer someone who brings about those changes without “diluting conservative policies with demeaning rhetoric.” He pointed to Republican successes down-ballot as proof that the conservative model is still a winning one.
No, trumpanzees, don’t believe him! He’s part of the Deep State! He didn’t help enough to Stop the Steal! He’s trying to get you to vote on those Dominion machines that flip the vote from “R” to “D.” He’s a plant for the demonrats!
This piece might be interesting to the numbers of people (@thunderclapnewman, @tena and several others come to mind) who’ve discussed how dumb and boring he is and how he wouldn’t make a great character in a work of fiction.
Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan should have learned by now that Donald Trump is not worth the time of day, much less any obsequious effort to placate him or his followers. Its all a waste of time and newsprint.
Look to the future and look to our need to clean up the disastrous mess that Donald Trump and Co. have made of our great nation.
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—A furious Donald J. Trump attempted to fire the Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, sources report.
According to the sources, Trump was so irate about the Supreme Court’s dismissal of his election challenge on Tuesday that he phoned Barrett directly to inform her that she was “history.”
“I hired you to get a job done, and you didn’t get it done,” Trump angrily informed Barrett. “You’re out of here.”
Sources say that Barrett had the unenviable task of informing Trump that Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life and therefore cannot be fired, a revelation that left Trump “flabbergasted.”
“If I can’t fire anybody I want, maybe I don’t want to be President anymore,” he reportedly muttered.
Yeah, the only way to insure Victory is to tar and feather this guy Duncan and the rest of the RINOS. You won’t need to worry about voting the Dominion machines will switch democratic votes into GOP and retroactively give Trump the victory he is entitled.
This guy looks like little Marco’s younger brother. They do seem to be very concerned about Trump supporters showing up to vote in the runoffs. I hope their fears are justified. The MAGAT’s are exemplified by the Karen that Rudy brought to the MI legislature. They think they are smart, but are rather stupid and do their best to stay drunk.
