As I keep saying…the false equivalence paradigm ultimately helps the worst of the worst actors or “side” of the equivalence equation.
Keeping that in mind, it should tell you everything you need to know when we get to observe the ZFE totally abandon ANY equivalence paradigm of any kind…false or even arguably true and obvious…to just attack the Dem candidate directly while completely ignoring the sorts of similar issues with the MAGAt KKKult KKKandidate that would EASILY fit into that equivalence paradigm. It goes right out the window when they identify a more direct route to the intended result.
Make no mistake: the oligarchy is going to act to get its fascism come hell or high water.

I agree…it’s partly that they feel a burning need to make it about doing it all in our faces to get that “own” going. The prospect of getting what they want and achieving their rancid goals in secrecy is just not as flavorful for them as having achieved everything while gloating in our faces and saying “whatcha gonna do 'bout it, huh? HUH?”

Sometimes you hear it said that someone brings out the best in people. Trump may be the first person I have ever seen who brings out the absolute worst in people. It is almost a super power.
