A group of Republican governors have reportedly been holding private conference calls to share strategies on combating the surge in COVID-19 cases in their states–and to vent about President Donald Trump’s lack of assistance with the crisis.
This seems to me to be the logical step when the CDC and Feds have gone AWOL on the COVID-19 crisis. And there are other disease specialists that can advise them.
The problem is that a one size fits all answer may not be the best strategy.
And is still true after he got bored playing with it. So not just the present tense of touch, touching, but also touched. He is an infection in and of himself.
Excellent, they’re doing what bold, decisive and principled leaders have done throughout history! They’re… uh… holding a members-only mean girls session where they can gripe about how much everything sucks? The Larry Hogan option of publicly calling out the President, and pursuing their own efforts in parallel, has always been available. This sort of private venting is a psychological crutch to make them feel they’re standing up for what’s right, when they’re doing nothing of the sort.
Some of the governors have also given up on trying to speak to Trump directly about COVID-19 and have begun reaching out to Vice President Mike Pence instead, believing him to be more reliable with handling the pandemic.
I assume if a female Governor calls Pence his wife must also be on the call.
One of those governors includes Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose adviser, Dan Carney, says that Trump has lost interest in the pandemic.
Hey Abbott…are you really over being Mini-Trump or are you just posturing because now 4/5 Texans are living in Covid hotspots?
And just an FYI for you, if you are still bent on being a Trump tool because you have gerrymandered Texas to death and you are afraid of his maggoted base…
Your Dear Unpresidented Covidiot leader is going to blame you for your bad Covid response…Trump MAL-Administration referred to this as “state authority handoff,”
Addendum:
Kids are goin to get over it!
Callous to the children
Cruel to the parents, teacher/edu staff
Covidiot to the community!
“These kids have got to get back to school,” Parson said. “They’re at the lowest risk possible. And if they do get COVID-19, which they will — and they will when they go to school — they’re not going to the hospitals. They’re not going to have to sit in doctor’s offices. They’re going to go home and they’re going to get over it”
Try living up to your oaths.
Try being an American.
You keep backing Trump while he golfs and your people die.
The condition of our country is on all of you Trump suckers and that you can not deny.
Now, if they would kindly do a little venting in public we might start to get a handle on this thing…if we could somehow harness this frustration and turn it into fuel, national energy issues would be abated…Trump is killing Americans…frustrated governors…DO something noble.
One of those governors includes Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose adviser, Dan Carney, says that Trump has lost interest in the pandemic.
Abbot was more than happy to play the Trump game while the mess was somewhere else. The mess in Texas has nothing to do with Trump, it’s a 100% Abbots failture.
