As Americans watched from their well-worn couches, where many of us have spent almost all of our time for five months, the Democratic National Convention took its viewers on a coast-to-coast road trip.
Really well done. It was hokey at times, but reassuringly so. And the portion with the focus on people who talked about the meaning of the ACA to them was especially moving. I find myself wondering what the GOoPers will come up with to compete. I mean, is Trump going to stand up in front of another Church with a right side up Bible? I guess that would be news.
Loved it. Also interviews with peopleās living rooms, kitchens and studies in the background. All kinds of people spoke and participated. Several themes wove it all together.
Your photo caption isnāt correct. Derrick Lente is NOT a āUS Representativeā. He represents District 65 in the New Mexico House. Our US Representatives are Debra Haaland, Ben Ray Lujan, and Xochitl Torres Small.
On the other hand, thanks for choosing this particular image and showcasing New Mexico!
The whole two hours was done about as well as it could have been. Iām glad thereās the talent on our side to put something like this together. Canāt see how the other side is going to answer this. It will just be fear and loathing.
Hey, the GOP is diverse, too ā they have Ammosexual Nazis in the South, racist inbreds in the Midwest, and fascist militia-types in the North and West. Itās a virtual cornucopia of Deplorables!
That was a beautiful write-up, Kate ā thank you! I loved the roll call ā it was sweet, moving, engaging, and wonderful to see people from all across our country and oceans proud to be their statesā representatives.
