I wonder if he’s even aware there’s a new strain. Paying any attention to covid at all was just an election ploy for him and when it didn’t work out he basically dropped it for the most part. People are telling reporters he’s “over covid,” he had only so much attention to give it and it persisted beyond his ability to pay any more.

Exactly. The Trump inspired vaccine is the greatest thing that’s ever happened but no way he’s going to go public and promote Americans to get vaccinated.

I heard this morning that the only different with the new strain is that it is more contagious and spreads faster. The symptoms of those infected with it are the same, so the vaccine should be just as effective.

I was reading that besides ALL of the European countries supporting their citizens with monthly stipends through this pandemic, Malaysia is as well. Malaysia. But not the U.S.

WTF is it with people that are entering a store and literally stop IN THE DOORWAY to take a phone call, or dig in their purse for something, or have a conversation with the person they’re with? Full stop, no one gets in or leaves, Henrietta has nickels to find. And if you look at her, or say something, or make a motion indicating “Hey, I’d kinda like to go in there” you get the look. It says “You see these three square feet, right here under my feet, in the doorway? Well, they’re mine until I’m damn well ready to give them up, so piss off!”

Of course it’s a total coincidence that the countries hardest hit by covid just happen to be run by far-right authoritarians who are often quite corrupt or at least more than a little bit crazy. No connection whatsoever.

For me it’s the people who start slowing down for a turn or stop sign 10 blocks before, and when at a stop sign, take 30 seconds to get moving “just in case”. I’ll take aggressive drivers over hyper-cautious slow-ass chickenshit drivers anyway.
