I want what “most people” are using as a time machine, because they’d have to know what the AZ political landscape is like in 2024, and know what candidates she’d be running against as a Republican and a Democrat.
Arizona voter registration is split almost evenly in thirds between R’s, Dems, and “Other.” If she runs as an Independent, she’ll just peel off some “Others” who would have voted for the Dem, giving R’s the win. She’s not going to peel off any registered Republicans – they already didn’t vote for her last time. All she can do as an Independent is destroy the Democratic party’s chances for a win.

Well, she has a JD and a PhD in some social science or another, so there is some native level of intelligence there. But given her political career path, I’m going to believe that there is a bunch of perseverance in that mix. She doesn’t give me the impression of being very principled at all. It appears like everything is open to compromise, so long as it advances her personally.

You know, Charlie Kirk’s answer about why the wingnuts should not be shooting us isn’t all bad. The implication that there might be widespread repression complete with seizure of all guns and FEMA camp internment if the wingnuts escalate works for me.
