Fox News host Steve Doocy criticized the ex-president for his attacks on the judge overseeing his criminal case.
Picture 80 years ago:
Hearst newspaper syndicate calls out Nazi death camps: “A very bad look.”
Nailed it.
Fixed it for him.
ETA: @Paracelsus beat me to it, put it better.
When you’ve lost Steve Doocy ….
…you’ve scraped the dog shit off your shoe.
Doesn’t go quite far enough, but:
milquetoast: noun: a very timid, unassertive, spineless person, especially one who is easily dominated or intimidated:
And the understatement of the year award goes to… Steve Doocy on FOX and Friends for:
“It is a very bad look to attack the family of the judge,”
Does Doocey equally condemn trump Jr and EmptyG?
So it’s just the optics. Who knew? Silly me.
So, when does Doocy announce he’s leaving being removed from Fox and Friends???
“Six hours later, at Mar-a-Lago, the judge was attacked, the judge’s wife, and the judge’s daughter.”
That is some A+ passive voice by Doocey there. “[A]t Mar-a-Lago, the judge was attacked…” How? By who? What is the nexus between the attack and MAL?
At the risk of looking like I’m defending Doocy, he’s not wrong. Trump got a warning, not a gag order. So unless and until the judge cracks down, he’s still under 1A speech protection for saying this shit. It’s a bad look, but no consequences (yet).
We trust the people whining about the political involvement of Judge Merchan’s family members are equally outraged about Ginny Thomas’ work to overthrow the election on behalf of Trump and therefore believe Clarence should recuse himself on anything related to the former president.
Wow what an epiphany. Where was he over a decade ago when O’Reilly was threatening by intoning “Tiller the baby killer!” who was the Kansas abortion doctor who ended up being murdered? Or when he sent his go to boy Watters to harass journalists and elected officials at their homes?
A very bad look, eh? No ethical or moral content? No thoughts for what might occur as a result? No? It’s all PR, then, isn’t it, utterly divorced from any legal or human connection or implication, and definitely not “wrong” - all that matters are appearances. Fox News in a nutshell.
Hey TPM, maybe not link directly to Junior’s attack on the daughter? I’m pretty sure he WANTS that kind of negative attention.
Politically motivated attacks on innocent third parties are always morally wrong and should be condemned by all sides. It ain’t just the look.
I’m convinced the only reason the judge didn’t gag him is because the consequence of violating a gag order would be what? Jail? They didn’t even take his mugshot. I’m a proponent of making sure he gets free hamburgers and diet coke. We have a better chance of McDonalds solving our nightmare than we do of the courts holding him accountable.
