Fox Hosts Bash Romney | Talking Points Memo

Mitt Romney is not in the foxhole.

In the hours following Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-UT) vote to convict President Trump in the Senate impeachment trial, Fox News hosts and figures wasted no time reacting to the lone Republican’s “guilty” vote with disdain.

Yup, the Nazi press is on the case.

Anyone notice that three most messed up “democracies” are England (and I mean england, not Scotland), the USA, and Australia? All have power held by a minority supported by… the Rupurt Murdoch Press…

One man, so much evil…

Looks like the word “preening” was in the talking points sent out to the whole email registry.

Kilmeade said. “My faith makes me do this? Are you kidding? What about your faith in this case meld together? I mean, that is unbelievable for him to bring religion into this, his faith. We already know how he felt.”

Trumpers not happy when religious belief is used as an argument against Trump. Good to know their commitment to the first amendment ends at Trump.

"Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham, for her part, called Romney “the ultimate selfish, preening, self-centered politician”

I thought she was talking about 45* until I got to the part about good hair.

I have been saying if I could go back in time and kill just one person it would be Roger Ailes - but you make a persuasive argument.

We are truly in the shit now when Rush Limbaugh gets the Medal of Freedom and FOX hosts are making fun of one man’s religious conviction. I don’t know if it’s End Times, but whatever it is, it smells like rotten eggs.

With chutpah and gall overweening
Fox Press calls Romney on preening.
On every new night
They turn farther right,
With phrases they judge most demeaning.

Irony alone keeps me going these days. Orwell at least kept his characters within the lines of believable. These types dwell outside of even cartoons.

Ingraham calls Romney “the ultimate selfish, preening, self-centered politician”

Wait. In today’s GOP isn’t this a feature and not a bug?

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham, for her part, called Romney “the ultimate selfish, preening, self-centered politician” who “has good hair” and “a sort of okay singing voice.”

She isn’t wrong, but I honor Romney for his vote anyway.

You know, so what? Fox is Fox. Drunks drink. Pigs live in stys when not in the White House.

I guess riling us up over an entirely predictable Fox response is the plan.

I’m not a viewer but I know more about Fox News from reading TPM than I ever want to know.
