Fox Host’s Brain Explodes Over Fox Poll Showing 50% Of Voters Want Trump Removed | Talking Points Memo

The symptoms of exploding head syndrome aren’t dangerous by themselves. For some people, however, the associated sensation of being jolted awake in fear can lead to ongoing anxiety. In some cases, this anxiety makes it very hard to fall asleep, which can lead to physical and psychological problems in time.
For Brian, much time has passed.

The inevitable spin incoming on this: “It’s okay that half the country wants Trump impeached and removed because that half are all Democrats and thus do not count!”

Fox News host finally realizing that, yes, 50%+ of the country wants Trump kicked to the curb.

But don’t worry because that means impeachment with blow up in the Democrats face and Trump will be a shoo-in for reelection. At least that’s what they keep telling themselves in the mirror.

Would Democrats even be on the Fox News polling call list?

What Democrat in their right (or left) mind would even pick up the phone call?

Be fair, Matt. As you know, Trump insists that his ratings are “going through the roof.” If you can’t believe that, what’s left?

Someone likely insisted that he could handle lighting the Christmas candles this year. It was just that one time…

Then, at the studio, the makeup people were more focused on the – assets – of one of his co-hosts (I’m talking about Doocey’s coif, of course), so he got short shrift there, with the expectation that consequently no one would be paying attention anyway.

Of course he gets it wrong that the real “stunning” number is that half the country wants this criminal kicked out of office, not just impeached.

I think his shock was mostly that an actual fact was allowed onto the set.

It was more like a fizzle …

I just rewatched the clip and just focused on the facial body language of Doocy and legs in red dress woman #3.

Still equally satisfying.

Obviously Kilmeade’s been watching too much Fox News.

No brain would be a vacuum, and that would mean it was an implosion. Hard to tell the difference without high speed cameras though.

A bad polls result, like reality itself, is always “split personality” for the True Trumpist. There’s always an angle from which his delusions can find validation and comfort.

Man, Fox is getting weird. At this rate they are going to be treated for a bipolar disorder.

Kilmeade’s “brian explodes”?! Fake news. Kilmeade took his brain out to play with long ago and lost it!

Not literally? Stupid TPM headline writers teasing us.

I have to ask a straight forward wardrobe question. I just noticed this and I am not familiar with it. Kilmeade has a red tie in that photo. He has a red strip across his coat pocket. Is that an odd pocket square or something else.

“Although the President’s approval rating did tick up in the same poll, so it’s almost like a split personality,” Kilmeade said.

I’m just a layman, but this looks like Kilmeade working through some really powerful cognitive dissonance live, for all the world to see. I bet this clip gets shown in classrooms studying the effect.

“Well… I guess that’s bad… but things will always be good!” And his frown turns into a crazy smile at the end.
