Fox News host Ed Henry pressed White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany to explain on Thursday why it was kosher for her to vote-by-mail no less than 11 times in the past decade while President Donald Trump demands the average voter be prohibited from doing the same.

Because “fuck you!” that’s why. Isn’t that pretty much the attitude everyone in the Trump administration has toward any difficult question? All of their standards are double standards. Any concern for that is a sign of weakness in their minds.

“So why is it okay for you to do it?” the Fox News host asked. “I understand you’re traveling and you’re in a different city, but how can we be assured that your votes were counted accurately, but when other people do it, it’s fraud?”
McEnany argued that Americans are “absolutely entitled to request an absentee ballot and to cast your ballot by mail” if they’re “

So the standard is, it’s fine when it’s just rich people who move around a lot. Fraud could never happen with them. Only if we let poor people in blue and purple states vote by mail. Then it’s subject to fraud. I guess that’s because reasons?

It’s pretty simple: we are “entitled” to mail in ballots because we don’t cheat. You are not entitled to a mail in ballot because you cheat. It’s the same reason why we get a $500 billion corporate welfare slush fund with no oversight and you get a few crumbs, $1,200.

If she was really being honest, here answer would be something like “We want to block this to keep non-Trump voters from being able to vote…for voters who want to vote for Trump we’ll let them do whatever it takes to get their vote in.” It’s really what they mean when they say absentee ballots are just fine for them but that awful mail in ballot just can’t be allowed.
