It doesn’t matter. The vote is certified. Barring a court order, they’ll send their slate of electors for Biden on the 14th. That’s even what Bush v. Gore’s real decision was, the recount was taking too long and the deadline for the EC had to be met. An excuse? Sure, but that was their argument. Such stupidity is more a result of the Fox food chain. A celebrity in a prime time slot can make $30 million a year plus book deals and appearance fees. Lower down, you’re looking at $30,000 a month for a main daytime slot, and then down to $3,000 an appearance for consultants. Below that level, it’s free-for-all. Whoever runs with the craziest idea may get bumped up to a regular paycheck. Many bimbos and ding-dongs have never made it beyond the first rung. Fox stars often have a JD or some experience with the law. The audience is almost exclusively white, so Fox even provides slots for “the Black Friend”, although none of the top slots are held by a person of color. The best line in the Fox News film Bombshell was the line describing what makes a Fox News story: “Ask yourself, 'what would scare my grandmother or piss off my grandfather?’”
Has Fox News even thought about the repercussions if the Republicans were to somehow destroy democracy to steal the election? America as we have known it for 230 years will be over. This bullshit is why no one should watch Fox News, ever.

A) It’s not like state legislatures are a kind of civil court with easier evidentiary standards. If the legislators want to do a thing and think they can get away with it, they do it. Nothing to do with evidence at all. B) They’ve pretty clearly noped out of the whole idea, because whatever the modern equivalent of having your head on a pike is, they don’t want that. Trump wasn’t popular and the election wasn’t close, so it’s not gonna happen. But who cares? Describing the world is not what these people do for a living. They’re storytellers, helping you cope with a world you find confusing and frightening. They tell you everyone lives happily ever after, except the Others who are bad.
