Fox Business Host Who Ranted About Coronavirus ‘Scam’ Gets Axed

Fox Business announced on Friday that Trish Regan, the host of the network’s “Trish Regan Primetime” program, has been let go in the aftermath of her infamous tirade claiming that the COVID-19 outbreak was part of some kind of anti-Trump scheme run by Democrats and the media.

She had to go.

Hannity hates competition.

Some good news. Although, she probably walked away with a sweet package.

She should be expecting a White House job offer any day now.

On behalf of all Democrats and the Liberal Media, I do not apologize for the harm that befell you, Trish. It was intentional.

Firing a fourth rate host, and one, frankly, that I’d never heard of before this incident, while continuing to employ Hannity, Dobbs, the morning show morons, and so many others, is just window dressing. It’s pretending to be doing something while actually doing nothing.

What took them so long?

Don’t let the trapdoor hit you on the way out, Trish.

Or, the Murdoch’s doing damage control with Trish Regan taking the fall? I’m sure she’ll land safely. Unlike many other Americans.

Regan was never much of an ideologue when doing business reporting on CNBC.
But then CNBC isn’t an active support group for rightwing crazy like Fox Business is.

As opposed to Hannity, Ingraham, Coulter, Jesse whatsisface, Maria Bartelomeo, Riveria, and, christ, the morning idiots . . .

The obvious almost literal scapegoating of one expendable minor talent to symbolically expiate the network’s loons of their sins isn’t really effective when none of them stop doing the very thing she was fired for doing.

I’m disappointed she was axed when she could’ve been Trebutined.

Regan stated that she plans to “focus on my family during these troubled times.”

I hope no one in her family contracts the dreaded “hoax.”

What?
Fox does not believe in free speech.

I’ll lay 3-1 odds she ends up on OAN as their version of the Money-Honey…

I gotta admit it has been nice with the Lou;s Knob in self-quarantine over the past little bit, I hope the fucker is gargling with his own bloody sputum…

What kind of axe?

This is part of the problem with the Fox food chain. Everybody is involved in repackaging familiar tropes to make the conspiracy theory de jour palatable. But tasks are reified as you move up the pay tiers. At the higher tiers, you are supposed to rely on your minions to deliver the basic outline of the current conspiracy theory and then express surprise, approval or demonstrate how that comports with the Fox world view. Regan, at least structurally, had reached the reaction stage, but kept acting like she was at the lower delivery stage. What a ding-dong. Should could have been making millions a year if she just would have let some reality-show expert blab the scam claim first.

Do you recall when Stuart Varney was for all intents normal when he was the CNN London business anchor?
I would not be surprised if he now enjoys cosplay as a SS Gruppenfuhrer…
