How does a drone get that close to the Kremlin? Close enough to apparently cause significant damage. Sounds like a false flag operation to me, though I can be persuaded Russia’s defenses are just that poor.

Many in the military community believe that Ukraine saw an opportunity to tie the Russians down in one strategic area, to wear down the troops and make Russia use up their limited ammunition. It seems every forty-eight hours in Bakhmut, Ukraine pulls back and lets the Russians have a little of the territory. If the situation gets to a point where the Russians need a time out, Ukraine strikes at the Russians to push them back. Putin blew it when he put Valery Gerasimov back in charge, since the other general was going to use the winter to rest the troops and to rebuild the ammunition depots, to have them ready for the spring counteroffensive. The Russians did not do that, and this past winter Russia tried to have several counteroffensives against the Ukrainian forces. Meanwhile Ukraine played defense to stall the Russians to get the necessary equipment and training for their troops for the spring counteroffensive.

The NYT did include this under the headline online:

But if you read the text message, there are some pretty terrible statements that shouldn’t have been put down on paper. Carlson’s racism is front and center, and he definitely said/wrote the quiet part out loud. Of course, this indicates that there is much worse out there.
