Former Presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton Would Take COVID Vaccine Publicly To Prove It’s Safe | Talking Points Memo

At least three former presidents would willingly take the COVID-19 vaccine publicly to promote its safety and effectiveness, and hopefully encourage more Americans to trust the shot, CNN reported late Wednesday.

Huh. Trump not listed.

There are numerous demographics and groups of people slated to receive the vaccine ahead of most of the general population based on their need for immunity in their jobs or other roles in society. Healthcare workers, police, first responders, teachers, nursing home workers and residents. These three get moved to the head of the line?

Bravo for them! Damn it, someone’s got to show some leadership on behalf of the nation.

Again…THIS is what leadership looks like. Not whiny infomercials about ‘fraud’ that can’t be proved or screaming questionable ‘lawyers’ spewing lies.

That’s what happens when you post before reading.

Very clear in the article that they said when it was their turn in line, they’re not trying to jump the line.

They’re showing social reaponsibility and not asking for that (unlike current occupant:)

Bush: “‘will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera’ after it is administered to priority populations.”
Clinton: “Clinton would be willing to support promotion of a vaccine by taking it publicly ‘as soon as available to him,’ based on the priorities designated by public health officials.”
Obama: “the former president added, saying he would get the vaccine when its access is widened to those less at risk of complications from coronavirus.”

I don’t know what’s gonna actually happen, but waiting their turn is the message they’re sending.

That’s because he’s the brave and noble survivor of the COVID hoax…

He thinks he’s safe for life now.

I heard the second bout can be worse than the first. Here’s hoping…

With the stellar health care each gets I think this means very little. All three enjoy better health, and access to health care, than many who are hesitant.

It’s been so long since we’ve seen real leadership that I’d forgotten what it looks like.

why am I hearing, I already took all the shots, super shots, super vaccine.
it should be named after me and if I don’t get the Nobel prize for this one, it only proves that the deep state democrat’s has paid off many people around the world to hold me back for going down in history as the greatest president ever in the history of the world.
gee that some serious bullshit leaking out of my head. lol
going outside to soak up some sun, haven’t seen it in many days. lol

Yeah, and judging by his Christmas festivities, he’s not worrying about reinfection, either.

Not sure how his fans would react if he were to take a vaccine. Is that really him? Is he being forced into it? Is he a deep-stater after all?

Anyway, from the article:

Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton — the nation’s three most recent presidents

They happen to be the only living ex-presidents, but I guess that’s just a detail.

@castor_troy reminds me that Carter is not on the list!

I wanted to go to Carter’s funeral but Miss Kitty wasn’t well.

It will only prove effective to the deplorebels if Fat Nixon gets a dose of bleach up his bigly ass at the same time…

I agree but, again, here’s how TPM chooses to phrase it:

The promotion by the former leaders

I predict that the virus will be named after him.

You do realize the peanut farmer is still around, right?

They’re going to name the End Times after him: Trump-24.

While that’s all true, I’m not sure why you say their (ostentatiously?) taking the vaccine would have “very little” effect on how it is perceived by the public at large.
