Reed declined Davis’ recollection of the events in a statement to the Post: “This account of my actions is not accurate.”

Dude when you’re that drunk you tend not to remember what an ass you made of yourself the night before,

Davis, who alleges that Reed was drunk at the time, told the Post that the congressman rubbed her back, unsnapped her bra with his hand over her blouse and ultimately placed his hand on her thigh.

Reed declined Davis’ recollection of the events in a statement to the Post: “This account of my actions is not accurate.”

Not really a full-bodied denial.

I know what holds me back from running for public office: an aversion to committing sexual misconduct.

FFS is it a prerequisite?

Boundaries, people, boundaries.

WTF is so difficult about respecting boundaries?

Can’t wait for DeBlasio and Gillibrand to jump in. Oh wait, never mind, he’s a Republican.

Sux to get drunk and ruin your career, huh?

Maybe that’s the part that he claims is not accurate.

Maybe he’s claiming that he wasn’t drunk when he sexually assaulted her.

What is it with New York politicians and their inability to keep their hands to themselves.

Drinking tends to stretch perceptions about what boundaries exist and where they are.

Certainly not the behavior you want on your record if you’re trying to take the “high road” and speak up against someone else for similar behavior.

R+6 and the majority of his district is rural.

He won his last election by 16.

I live in this slimy man’s district. He’s running for Governor, though it hasn’t been announced. He’s the type who runs for office by turning some of his constituents against others. He lets his campaign play dirty and he talks as if it’s all news to him.

Key point and why it’s relevant is that he’s been talking it up about running against Cuomo.

Bad idea to have skeletons in your closet when playing the holier-than-thou game.

I’m betting he’ll go the route of calling it consensual or that she was “asking for it”.

Or possibly go full batshit projection conspiracy loon and say that she was flirting/assulting him, and that this was a honey pot trap set by the dems, George Soros, and Borat.

It’s a lot easier when you respect the actual person who is setting the boundary. Just sayin’

Another thing

He’s going to be facing tough sledding, when the 66% who don’t want Cuomo to run, also have that opinion about him.

Pataki versus whoever (including Cuomo).

The Democrat will win (knock on wood), because NYS aren’t fond of Trumpers.

This could come across the wrong way, so I’ll say I’m being a bit snarky.
Representatives are supposed to represent their populace so I wouldn’t count him out.
Got drunk and handsy?
Doesn’t sound that unusual to me.
Unsnapping the bra is a “nice” escalation though—
Also I’m looking forward to claims it’s a political hit-job so that I can get my irony supplement for the day.

Reed says: “This account of my actions is not accurate.”

So, which account of your actions is accurate? Fess up!
