“Fox News is no longer a truthful center-right news network.”

Not that it ever was, mind you.

Rupert is Australian. He doesn’t give flying fuck how much he damages the U.S.

I hear that the GOP has a new slogan:

Remember The Alamogordo!

Or is it:

Win Won For The Trumper!

Preston Padden, who worked under Murdoch for seven years, claimed in the Daily Beast that he’d spent the past nine nine months trying, “with increasing bluntness, to get Rupert to understand the real damage that Fox News is doing to America.”

Poor guy. There for seven years and never once looked up to see the enormous damage Murdoch’s rags had done to Australia and Britain, to the point where those countries had to fight back.

And next time, I hope he uses his real name…

Well said…that was the jumping-off point…hence the lavish studio/personnel settings and hires.

Preston, honey, there’s a reason that “follow the money” is a saying.

Timely post. I’m back from CA and had a short phone conversation with my Trump-addled, Fox News and Newsmax-watching sister, who lives in Georgia, because her husband and daughter have had some recent health issues. I haven’t talked to her since November 3 (her birthday), because she’s gone off the effing deep end, according to other siblings.
We were having a decent conversation when suddenly, she started ranting about the need to reopen the border by September 21. It’ll be too late though, because there won’t be much left of the country. I was completely taken aback by the border nonsense. I asked her was country she was talking about. Of course, this country. I took a deep breath and quietly said that she really needed to stop watching Fox News.
She yelled about not having to listen to that with her stress level and hung up.

I will not be calling her again. Between the Catholic Church she attends and the Trump cult, her brain is completely fried. I don’t recognize her.

She doesn’t like me because I won’t agree with her and is really angry. I’m afraid I just pity her and her unhappy existence.

Sigh.

Sorry to hear it. Dealing with something similar, but nowhere near as virulent as your experience. I swear it’s a genetic thing. Bad chromosones or something.
