If this isnā€™t a reason for DC statehood, there wont ever be one.

Heā€™s lying. I hope the FBI and DOJ can find his real agenda, which was supporting sedition. Miller was inserted by the Trump regime as temporary secretary of defense so he could prevent effective opposition to the January 6 putsch.

1 / Itā€™s CYA WEDNESDAYā€¦to be followed by CYA THURSDAY, FRIDAY, ad nauseum.
2 / The grasping ambitions & shallow incompetences of the Trump Gang are truly dispiriting and predictable.
3 / Miller is an errand boy for grocery clerks, collecting a bill. Installed to do nothing.

ā€œThis is a great conversation,ā€ motherfucker?

You are not going to weasel out of this, you treasonous flunkey.

Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller was never a ā€˜realā€™ Defense Secretary, he was merely ā€˜acting,ā€™ i.e. playing one for television. It is self-evident that he was a ā€˜bad actor.ā€™ Also a liarā€¦

Fog and friction.

Itā€™s like the Vietnam War brought home to the Capitol and boiled down to a single afternoon.

Thatā€™s how the bad guys winā€¦

Iā€™m with Maloney, I find it (this bullshit) hard to believe.

Pretty much the story there: Miller lied and is sticking to it, more worried about the reaction of the Trumpists even than a potential charge of perjury or so it would appear.

This is not just a difference of opinion we are seeing, it is a growing insurrectionist mythology contesting the rule of facts and law alike.

Anyone remember this?

It would take nearly three hours before Miller authorized the D.C. Guard to ā€œre-missionā€ and help the Capitol Police establish a perimeter around the Capitol.

ā€œIt took 90 minutes to plan to send the Guard to the Capitol?ā€ Ocasio-Cortez asked.

Miller replied that ā€œthis is a great conversation, and I want to be completely helpful.ā€

Twisting yourself into a pretzel is not a defense tactic.

Now you are on the record.

That ā€˜saidā€™, though itā€™d require Trumpā€™s approval, only Jason Miller (for now) should be responding to this.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Miller ordered the DCNG to be deployed when he called Walker at 3 pm, but wanted approval over the plan before their deployment. Walker gave him a plan (none apparently having been devised in advance) at 4:32, Miller dawdled for another half hour, and he finally gave Walker the go-ahead at 5:08. And having thereby delayed the actual DNNG response for over two hours, he wants to cover his ass by pointing to his original order at 3 pm rather than the interim time he wasted before taking the final step required in order to make it happen.

So the question now is more about why he dithered, rather that whether he dithered. Incompetence and fear of shit hitting the fan seem like pretty good explanations, but there are more malignant hypotheses too.

On our mirror planet, Miller was notified the Russians had launched nuclear missiles toward the U.S. at 3PM on January 6th. Mirror Planet Miller order countermeasures be deployed at 4:32PM.

Miller, who said that he was reluctant to commit troops to the Capitol partly out of fears that it would be perceived as a coup attemptā€¦

Actually it should read: ā€œMiller, who said that he was reluctant to commit troops to the Capitol partly out of hope that it might be a successful coup attemptā€¦ā€
