Like any person confident in their cognitive abilities, President Donald Trump launched a rambling monologue during a Fox News interview on Wednesday in which he proudly informed Fox News contributor Marc Seigel that he had aced the “difficult” portion of a cognitive test that required him to repeat “person, woman, man, camera, TV” in that order.
He knows he has a problem. Denial is very common even for normal people with dementia, and if it’s Trump, then obviously. So we’ll be hearing more about this, and it’ll be more obvious to everyone.
On most tests the words are dissimilar, I don’t see that pattern here. Person (me), Woman (Ivanka), Man (me again), Camera (me in front of it), TV (me on it), so what do these all have in common, notice the similarity? They are all the things Trump loves.
I have been with senior folk who take this test. Most of them do fine, those that don’t are having issues for obvious reasons. However, none of them were bragging about it or thought it was indicative of their intelligence.
And…he won’t shut up about it…just keeps doubling down.
I suspect he used these words because that’s all he could put together during the interview. ( you know…objects right in front of him.) I doubt they were the actual words from the test.
And this is a red flag for every time Trump accuses Joe Biden about being old and senile. With Republicans, and Trump more than most, it’s always projection. What he hates the most, whatever scares him the most, that’s what his opponent is doing. Yeah.
