The Florida state legislature moved this week to allow Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and other officials to hide their travel records from the public.
Seems like there’s some sort of conspiracy active in Florida.

The Florida governor and GOP legislature are bad actors in the process of building an autocracy that serves their own interests while failing the people, including those too ignorant to see what is happening.
Isn’t this in direct contravention of Florida’s Freedom of Information Act?
Accountability, responsibility, transparency – those are things for the little people, see.
It’ll leak.
Trumpers will leak it first and then progressives will follow suit.
Then there are the lawsuits.
trumpet says he’s not going to participate in debates, but maybe he will if Ron is onstage and then he can stalk him as he did HRC

If DeSantis is really worried about crazies knowing where he will travel, I suggest he avoid Iowa and New Hampshire.
Too much corruption in this one and in no way balanced by a likeable personality.
The non-campaign campaign continues. The Mantle of Reagan is heavy, but Glenn will wear it. You have to wonder how shitty high school has become if Reagan is a hero to seniors!

Maybe it’s time to start crowd-sourcing and publishing a continually-updated timeline of his travels.
FACT: Even people who wear white go go boots can be fascists.
Running for President of the United States is a full-time job.
No way in the world DeSantis’ job as FL governor will not suffer, but he and his R-cronies in the FL state house just don’t care.
They’re just fine with poking around woman’s health concerns and proposing legislation that would monitor teenage girls menstrual cycles. But heaven forbid there is some level of transparency regarding the governor’s schedule
The non-campaign, so he can later screech: I wasn’t ever planning on running anyways!
Since I don’t live in Florida do I really care? Unless/Until the voters in Florida throw out the current elected GOP reps and senators, they will continue to do as they please.
And I can vote against DeSantis if, and that’s a big if, he becomes the GOP Presidential candidate.
It is good, however, for everyone to see the kind of legislative manipulation he encourages. But, will it matter?
This is the line of inquiry the Trump campaign seized on to go after the governor.
“In recent months, Governor DeSantis has used taxpayer dollars to travel around the country for his 2024 presidential campaign, including to the early voting states of Iowa and Nevada,” they said in a statement last month.
I have no sympathy for DeSantis or his campaign, but that’s rich from the man who used his government service to subsidize his businesses.
Hopefully, they’ll come around to ways to tear each other to pieces.
Yes, it is very important not to make these records available after the travel because you never know which would-be assassin has access a time machine, probably funded by Soros or Disney.
ETA: And very important to keep upcoming campaign events secret, too.
