Let’s Go, Brandon!
The only election observers allowed in Missouri and Florida are guys wearing camo and brandishing firearms.
DeSantis = DeSanctimonious* = DeFascist
*Not a bad characterization, even considering its author…
Oh screw you DeSantis. I suggest you read the Constitution, assuming you are able to read.:
Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution is commonly referred to as the Supremacy Clause. It establishes that the federal constitution, and federal law generally, take precedence over state laws, and even state constitutions

How true, PU.
Huge snowstorm in Montana. Maybe keeps the ranchers from the polls cuzz they didn’t submit a mail-in?
This has the feel of the chihuahua yipping at the mastiff on the other side of the fence. So long as they have the fence between them, they feel confident to mouth off, but they probably won’t actually try anything when the mastiff is in the yard with them.
One nation. Not fifty principalities run by oligarchs and warlords. We settled this issue in the 1860’s, and again on the steps of an Alabama schoolhouse in the 1960’s. But I suppose we could settle it again in Florida, if necessary.
This was reported on the local right wing news media in Kansas City last night. It is clearly an effort to raise a stink on election day. I worry about the honesty of MOs SOS. The Ashcroft kid seems to be willing to do what he is told by Trump. Sadly with all of the local media firmly in the pockets of the Republicans most Missourians won’t hear about this.
DeSantis: I don’t want any Federal police interfering with my election police
Arrest Ron DeSantis
Great idea! I’m all for it! We should do the same in Texas.
In Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Department of State issued a letter to the DOJ on Monday saying that “Department of Justice monitors are not permitted inside a polling place under Florida law.”
Is this a longstanding Florida law, or was it passed into law during just the past couple of years as part of DeSantis’s numerous other voter suppression measures?
Nooo, it’s DeSatan!
My polling place
safe from DOJ monitors in suits.
“Under Florida law, only official poll watchers, inspectors, election clerks, the elections supervisor, voters or people helping them vote and law enforcement or emergency personnel with permission by the clerk are allowed to be inside a polling site.”
ETA: As caltg notes below, the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause trumps Florida law. I had just a few minutes to post and intended to point out that SoS Byrd didn’t even state Florida law correctly. I could have been more clear.
Secretary of State Cord Byrd said it was because monitors wanted to enter polling sites.
