Florida House Republicans have been lining up to endorse Donald Trump’s next presidential bid, even though Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has requested some of their support for his developing campaign. Now, they’re flexing their allegiance to the former president.
They don’t get irony in Florida. They only get sargasum.
I hear that Ron’s call to Mickey Mouse didn’t go well either, but he might get Goofy’s endorsement.
Ron DeSantis is a member of the Republican Party whereas Donald Trump IS the Republican Party.
DeSantis isn’t comfortable with human beings.
Humans can sense that.
The fact that the Democratic Party in Florida is so incompetent right now frustrates me to no end.

I confess that I was wrong. I had predicted that Puddin’ Cup would be finished on the first debate stage when Trump unleashed some witheringly dumb insult and DeSantis just stood there with his squinty-eyed smell-the-fart face, unable to respond.
Puddin’ Cup is already finished. His humiliation is fully upon him.
Stated plainly, Florida is the very state of denial itself.
In time, Florida will be in a severely shrinking state.
Perhaps, by then, Democrats will not be so out-of-state.

“Developing” campaign? Looks more like deflagrating to me.
Always apropos…
The ability to relate to other people and to feel empathy cannot be faked - people can sense it. Trump seems to be able to override this in some way, but DeSantis obviously can’t. He is the guy that never gets the joke but looks around to see who is laughing.
“Flexing” is something you do with muscles, not dinner or allegiance. I am guessing the writer meant “flaunting.”
This seems to be the entire GOP’s mantra where Trump is concerned, not just the Florida delegation:

…it’s a slang term for ‘showing off’.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna tweeted a photo overnight of herself with several of Florida’s congressional delegation, all seated with the former president.
