A Republican member of Congress who is running for reelection in a Florida House district that is not considered to be competitive put out an ad on Thursday in which she breaks with President Trump’s at-times lethal immigration enforcement and mass deportation policies. “Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far,”…
“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far,” Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) said
Too little, way too late. I mean, did she really just notice this? Typical GOP politician. Wonder what her internal polls show.
The fundamental problem with her bill, and similar ones, is that they create a permanent two-class population: citizens and those on track to become naturalized, and others who never will. Castes, anyone?
You can’t switch parties like that. Time for her to go. Bye!
Judge Demands Immediate Answers From Trump As Forklift Slams Kennedy Center | Crooks and Liars
Federal Judge Christopher Cooper has now demanded immediate answers from President Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center’s board of trustees, after an emergency motion was filed by board member and Ohio Democratic House Rep. Joyce Beatty, as forklifts were spotted slamming into the building while surrounding it with fencing.
Judge Cooper signed the order just two hours after Rep. Beatty filed it, according to the court docket. He gave Trump and the additional defendants a deadline of 10 a.m. today to respond to Beatty’s emergency motion. He noted that the court would schedule a prompt hearing, if necessary, after reviewing the response.

Federal Judge Christopher Cooper has now demanded immediate answers from President Donald Trump and the Kennedy Center’s board of trustees, after an emergency motion was filed by board member and Ohio Democratic House Rep.
Beatty requested the hearing on the grounds of what she calls an unlawful closure of the famous, long-embattled performing arts venue and specifically requested that a senior decision-maker be ordered to attend.
In May, Judge Cooper ordered the Kennedy board to stop the venue from closing until it approved a shutdown in compliance with his order, and he lifted the freeze. Cooper cited that previous order in his newest order, noting that the board voted to close the Center on Tuesday, even though Cooper has not lifted the freeze—putting Trump and the Kennedy board in direct violation of a court order.
The GOP is being tortured by their own spineless greed. They’ll literally say anything at this point if there’s even a glimmer of hope their careers can survive.
Rep. Salazar is way too f_ckin’ late to the garden party!
Yeah, you pandering Republican shrike–they were betrayed. By you and your ilk.
" Maybe a year to regulate AI."
Congress can’t regulate a toddler who ballooned their precious deficit by trillions. What makes anyone think they would or could regulate the second biggest threat to our survival?
Trump endorsed her reelection campaign, and the congresswoman has been a staunch supporter of much of Trump’s second term agenda. “SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN,” Trump wrote on Truth Social in February, endorsing Salazar.
That’s just how he rolls.
What got knocked out of the top two - AGW or the Dotard?
Inside the White House and ICE, however, officials expressed puzzlement at the selection of Schroyer, given that he has no experience managing such a large and high-profile agency.
??
I thought lack of experience and general incompetence were requirements, not impediments.
Global Warming/Drought/famine
then
AI
in second place
or, just our own greed and willful selfishness
Yep - her poll takers made her recognize this.
I give it until tomorrow before Canckles McChildrapist starts referring to her as “low IQ.” Normally I’d violently disagree, but in this case we are talking about a woman who is still a fucking Republican, so.
This isn’t the first time she’s recently distanced herself from Trump on immigration, only the most public way. She’s expected to win, so with this volley she may be building a foundation for larger political ambitions. Just a guess.
Smell the desperation,
Too far? BUT not any further than he said he would go. IDIOTS vote for idiots.
