The state of Florida is set to come to the aid of Texas as the Lone Star state battens down the hatches in what it describes as a bid to secure its border in the face of an absent federal government.
Abbott, Ducey, DeSantis, and others are using the stunt to blame illegal immigration as the source of an epidemic of drug overdoses that continues.
Yeah if those illegal immigrants would just restrain themselves from forcibly shooting those clean living Americans with opioids, but apparently they cannot help themselves, overdosing people is in their DNA.
So there isnât any wildlife in flordia that needs to be taken care of? Taxpayers pay these people to handle wildlife not to go stand around at the border as a political prop.
Since the Game Wardens already have the pythons on the everglades under control, they now are going to try their hand with another invasive species: the Mexians.
âThe state of Florida is set to come to the aid of Texas as the Lone Star state battens down the hatches in what it describes as a bid to secure its border in the face of an absent federal government.â
The Federal government is now absent from the border between Texas and Mexico?
Speaking on behalf of Texas Republicans, Governor Abbott urged help: âWe are in desperate need of more park rangers and game wardens at the Texas border, as there have been numerous reports of illegal ocelot crossings. Joe Biden and the Democrats are opening up our country to invasive species. They are taking over our parks and streams, and soon they will be coming for our pet supply superstores and world-class veterinarian care. This. Must. Stop.â
Some have questioned if Florida game wardens are capable of the work, given the number of Burmese pythons, Bengal tigers, Nile monitors, Cuban tree frogs, Mayan cichlids, and Argentine black and white tegus, already invading Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis brushed aside that criticism, noting âTheyâre already here in Florida, so we treat them as we treat all Floridians, with the care, compassion, and welcome everyone who visits the Sunshine State has come to expect.â
DeSantis then observed, âbut no ocelots can come into Texas. Thatâs where we must make our stand.â
I preferred was less revolted by the Rump-publicansâ unseemly, in-kind political donations when they took the form of covering up the narcissistic sex pigâs infidelities. This selling out of state officersâ, agentsâ, wardensâ and troopsâ deployments to the highest-bidding nonresident billionaire, is far more consequentially wrong.
