The President’s got a new top doc. His name is Scott Atlas, and in recent months, Atlas has cut a well-worn path arguing on television that America’s COVID-19 fears were overblown — that, as he said in May, “the cure is bigger than the disease.”

That is absolutely one of the stupidest remarks I have ever heard. . . . Especially concerning a disease that has already claimed the lives of over 165,000 Americans.

This is what you call shopping for a diagnosis when a real doctor tells you you have cancer. The cancer doesn’t care what the Quack tells you. You can’t argue with the hard facts of a disease. Facts that were hard-learned through the suffering and death of millions over the decades and centuries, and we’re apparently going to ignore them.

At least now I know where the talking points I keep hearing are coming from. Why, just today, I was told that the real epidemic is fear! Reports of deaths are false! Testing is pointless! Kids don’t die, and can’t spread it! And did I know that vaccines are funded by Bill Gates?!? I have to get “educated”!

What does he say, when asked, about what happened in New York City (and Italy, among other places) the huge number of cases, the overflowing hospitals, and the steps taken which actually bent the curve?
