“5. Trump is very impressionable…Trump couldn’t look Rosen in the eye and say, ‘you’re fired’…those around Trump and at the meeting were able to spend the next few hours pressuring the former President into keeping Rosen on and dropping the Clark plan. They browbeat him…”

Like all rightwing blowhards, Trump is a coward. All bluster, all bully, all bullsh-t. He caved to Putin; he caved to Xi; he caved to his own employees. All the while, publicly boasting of his bravery and manhood and resoluteness.

The real Trump? Nothing but a timid, little coward.

And in this case, Trump couldn’t look Rosen in the eye and say, “you’re fired.”

Shocking. He’s a f’ing coward. It’s the mark of a bully!

ETA. Obviously the quickest mind beat me to this. Congrats @irasdad

Trump started the meeting off by remarking: “One thing we know is you, Rosen, aren’t going to do anything to overturn the election.”

The President is trying to overturn the election. What more do we need than that? Oh, right. Hillary had her own email account.

At least, I know that my senses and info sources are good.

What I thought was more or less happening was really happening.

He fired Comey when Comey was in Los Angeles. Talk about Trump averting his gaze.

This really shows that the voting rights bill is key for our democracy’s future. And no more ‘acting’ titles forever. There should be a clear limit on timeframe and number of acting appointments, otherwise why do we have Senate confirmations at all? Short term, like 2 months is OK, but we can’t have all of the acting appointments in key positions. Apparently any clown can get one.

How come Clark is still employable anywhere?

Bill Barr set the stage for everything that happened.
Twas as if he’d done it before.

Trump beckoned a coterie of maniacs to pressure DOJ leaders.

Jeff Clark’s coup attempt was unbelievably ham-fisted.
“I know all the best people.” ibid.

The DOJ’s ranks would have been hollowed out before staff let Clark become AG.
Perhaps DOJ might investigate how such a scenario developed.

Trump is very impressionable.

Because autocrats need foot solders with titles and loyalty. Don’t be fooled by who is in the White House and the less than thin Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, the autocrats driving the Republican party have not gone away.

Well, he’s also a chiseler.

Scary and true. They’re going to keep trying. Voting rights with some enforcement behind it will be key if we expect voting to count at all.

He now works for an anti-vax law shop. I guess that qualifies as anywhere.

And then wanted to make Comey to come home on his own dime, instead of the Justice department’s transport he had arrived in. Petty. Mean. Cowardly. Nasty. A poor excuse for a human being, any way you look at it.

Well you might want to tweet at Hawley and Cruz to find out why the won’t confirm people nominated for positions.
And that is something else that needs to be reined in. You only get to be a snit for 2 weeks, you must take to the Senate floor and spit out your snit to other Senators, and then the vote happens. None of this indefinite hold. And only one snit per candidate.

I can’t explain it but there it is.

If a large number of these people are not indicted, tried and convicted for trying to overthrow the government of the United States, I will totally lose any faith I had that this is a country of laws. I was totally pissed when Obama let Bush skate on Iraq and that probably had something to do with Trumpy trying to remain in power. If the big fish aren’t fried, then this little fish is going to start chiseling and screwing anyone I can.
