First Case From DeSantis’ Election Fraud Unit To Actually Make It To Trial Ends With Partial Acquittal

One of the cases brought by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stunt election crimes task force actually managed to make it to trial this week – and it ended in a split verdict and partial acquittal.

as part of DeSantis’ broader made-for-TV efforts to make illegal voting look like a widespread problem in Florida.

For the umpteenth time, that wasn’t the goal, it was the cover. The goal was to discourage certain demographics, “those” people, from voting. Vote and risk getting put through the criminal legal system. Even if you emerge vindicated, you still have lost weeks or months of your life and 1000s of dollars. Judging by the 2022 FL election results, mission accomplished.

Ron DeSantis is an evil pig working to become a Florida, and God forbid, a U.S. dictator. He is fully deserving of the name, Ron DeSatan.

Looks like DeSantis could use some fiber in his diet.

I believe that’s bog standard Republican constipated look.

The bottom line is he’ll probably be sentenced to time served but end up with another felony on his record. For what? Voting while black.

Nice system you got there, Amerika 2023.

That one person had to plea and another was convicted on one of the counts should be the lede, not the partial acquittal. Idiot juries are validating this obscenity. This is no longer a " look at stupid and evil deSantis" story. This is a “fascism is here” story and our hair should be on fire. It also explains who is now justifiably too afraid to vote and why deSantis got his “landslide.”

Q: How many white retirees from the midwest living in The Villages were caught voting multiple times? How were they punished?

A: Four, and they were not punished.

That is what appears in the bowl when constipation clears

Yes, DeSantis is the 2021 version of Bull Connor. But shoot, even back in 1963 Bull Connor didn’t poll very well among white people nationwide. I could be wrong, but I think that if DeSantis tries his “no one will make the lives of trans teenagers and black ex-cons worse than I will” pitch in a nationwide election, he’ll get killed. He’s a bully, picking on the weakest targets he can find. It’s depressing, and a real problem, that a fraction of the American electorate loves that, but I just don’t see a national majority.

At the House hearing on Twitter, MTG tore into Twitter for kicking her off for spreading Covid disinformation. She’s unashamed of all the people she killed.

The US continued to experience significantly higher COVID-19 and excess all-cause mortality compared with peer countries during 2021 and early 2022, a difference accounting for 150 000 to 470 000 deaths. This difference was muted in the 10 states with highest vaccination coverage; remaining gaps may be explained by greater vaccination uptake in peer countries, better vaccination targeting to older age groups, and differences in health and social infrastructure.

Your spirit is right, of course, but it is always the humans who are evil – pure fucking evil – never the pigs.

There’s a video of the evil in the article. It could be that you have to be human to be evil. DeSantis is human alright: evil fucking bastard.

Why is karma taking so damn long to get around to DeSantis?

I hope you’re right. He may try to pull a Youngkin and spiff himself up for the national view, but he is building quite a track record of assholery that will follow him around.

Friendly reminder that Younkin’s 17 year old son tried TWICE to vote in Virginia in 2020.

His time in juvenile detention will be awful for him I’m sure.

Oh, wait.

I don’t see how he does that when the coverage he’s getting now is so broad. Everything he and Abbott do gets headline coverage in the MSM. It’ll be real hard to convince the non-true-believers that this guy is the one that should lead the nation.

As we’ve seen, almost all polls on political topics show that less than 30% of the country believe in this nonsense he spouts. That’s not a winning percentage.

And it’s a real shame that the last session of Congress didn’t work to formalize a national voting law. Stuff like this was entirely avoidable.

DeSantis is just distracting people away from his years of drinking with underage girls. I hate drump, but love that he pushed that out there, I didn’t even know about Ron’s pedo teaching years.

It would be nice, with the attention paid to the non-story about Hunter, if the media would pay the same amount of attention to the InSantis story.

But they won’t. We’re probably close to never hearing about it again.

And welcome to the Hive!
