Few Republican Defections As House Passes Jan. 6 Select Committee

I wonder if one or two would decide to volunteer their services? Wondering if Liz is interested in a position on the committee. What a way to screw the party that dumped her…

She probably knows where some bodies are buried.

I question the use of the word “best.” Best for whom, and why?

A presumably reliable estimate of Iraqi casualties is about 1 million, though as I recall, the U.S. Government held the number to be about 10% of that.

This is correct.

I note that Empty Greene wants to be on the Select Committee. I wonder if Qevin will put her name forward? Empty Greene, Lauren Bobert, Paul Gosar, Louie Gohmert, and Madison Cawthorn would make the Select Committee more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Thank goodness Speaker Pelosi can ignore Qevin’s nominees.

Sadly, we don’t want it to be fun. The committee does deserve a certain amount of gravitas and seriousness, but those bozos won’t help that one bit.

I wish HST was around to write one, in the vein of the one he wrote for Tricky Dick.

It’s really a top ten.

Rush, Trump, Rummy, Roberts, Cheney, Mr and Mrs Thomas, Adelson, both Koch’s…

Trying to put an order to such a list is one of life’s known unknowns

Maybe should have been a Commission rather than a Select Committee.

Since he’s left the U.S…can his final destination try him for War Crimes?

Kinda weird being judged by someone that indiscriminately killed everything on the planet via a flood, except what would fit on an ark.

“It is right to be wary of an overtly partisan inquiry,” Cheney wrote in a statement released just before the vote.

“But, if you recall, Republicans voted down the possibility of a non-partisan inquiry,” she should have added.

The vote gives Pelosi the rationale to include Cheney and Kinzinger on the committee and ignore McCarthy’s suggestions, which undoubtably will include disrupters and shit-slingers like Greene, Gaetz and Jungle Gym Jordan. Screw 'em.

It is bi-partisan with Cheney and Kinzinger. Populate the rest of the committee with patriotic Democrats like Raskin, Thompson, Demming, Schiff, Dean and Swalwell.
