Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman (D), Democratic candidate for an open U.S. Senate seat, disclosed new information about his health Friday after being hospitalized for a stroke last month.
GOP slimeballs will try to develop some kind of whisper-out-loud attack regarding his “health” or “frailty”, but I think Fetterman can go right at them, and still win, against whomever.
Yeah, particularly in comparison with the former guy, who lied about his weight, his height, his other “numbers”, and didn’t see fit to mention (as others have reported) his dependence on various uppers. Oh, yeah … and his lack of actual “hair.”
Well, I couldn’t possibly vote for anyone who isn’t in “astonishingly excellent health” and who won’t be “the healthiest person ever elected.” And who can’t get his Dr. Feelgood to exaggerate his height and seriously understate his weight.
“I had prescribed medications along with improved diet and exercise and asked him to follow up again in the following months,” Dr. Ramesh Chandra wrote. “Instead, I did not see him again until yesterday. John did not go to any doctor for five years and did not continue taking his medications.”
Pretty much the story behind every man who has a stroke/heart attack before they hit retirement age.
The smart ones take the wake-up call seriously and get their health back in order. The dumb ones die before they get their first social security check.
Fetterman is one of the smart ones so he’ll be fine (and he’ll get a pass from voters for not partaking the fair food eating bonanza).
Exactly what my friend the (Republican, female) cardiologist said. Men are often pretty awful at following medical advice, but if they survive the first heart attack or stroke that puts the fear of god or the devil in them, they become much more cooperative.
Yes, we’ve had this going in New Mexico since around 2010, when Susana Martinez successfully ran for Governor. Her wing (maybe it would be more accurate to call it the “Jay McClesky wing”) declared war on all Republicans that didn’t support their extremist agenda. This was essentially the New Mexico Republican Party.
As the years went by and Republican tore at Republican, the party lost representation at the state level until now, no Republican holds a single statewide office. Yet the split continues! And is particularly vicious in the primary run for Governor nominee. McClesky candidate Ronchetti ( a teevie weatherman) and full-on trumper Dow (an actual elected representative with some government experience) are tearing one another to bits.
