Feds Say ‘No Option’ For Testing Support In PA County As Cases Reach New National High | Talking Points Memo

Off-Topic

The federal government can’t provide retail with change coins???

The economy won’t “bounce back to normal.” Republican government has been a disaster… twice!

This is how evolution proceeds. One species does NOT supplant another. Instead, the weaker species dissolves itself to make way for the new-and-improved version.

And yet a headline now up at MSN says that the White House is denying they are cutting off testing funds. Did Cornyn and Cruz get to the lackeys in the funding department to cut lose with some more of the $16 Billion available in the CARES act budget? Sure not open to believing the spokes person for the White Power House but I think they are folding for some reason.

Government by madman. I’m in Chester County. These are neighbors, and our whole region got hammered. Keep getting the word out—he’s killing us. He’s literally killing us.

Believe it when you see it. This administration flatly lies in the teeth of obvious evidence of its lies.

You need to ask? It sure as hell isn’t going to people who really need it.

This is how cultural evolution proceeds.

You got it. And that doesn’t get as much attention for our overall evolution as do the demonstrably physical changes. Physical, cultural, and intermixed with it all is brain chemistry. We are squishy bags of chemical matter trying to become…something.

The entire point of the feds pulling support is for Trump to be able to avoid responsibility for any of the things happening with COVID, and to make it appear that things “must be getting better” as less testing is needed so they can shut things down. That’s all it is…it’s not a money issue, there’s plenty that hasn’t been spent (and the mystery half trillion that Mnuchin is giving to who knows, expect those records to get shredded in January).

The entire process of the Trump administration has been…I actually can’t think of a word that describes how bad. From the beginning, they have minimized this, and that’s due to Trump’s leadership and desire to sweep bad news under the rug to help his election. That will continue through the summer and fall, even as more people die they are going to try to ignore it. During a campaign, early definition of the candidates can have a huge effect, and Trump is defining himself as an accomplice to hundreds of thousand of American deaths.

Honestly, I hope I live long enough to read the history of this time in 30 years or so, just to see how bad it really was and all the things we don’t know about that happened to make it this awful. Theses will be written about how bad this government is, how the corruption spread…and hopefully about how it was all undone in the next two decades by progressive Democrats.

We’re not his supporters so we should just die. It’s no accident that, once the data came out that most of the COVID deaths were people of color, especially African Americans, in cities, he stopped caring.

He’s worse than a madman, he’s an evil, evil fuck.

Trump has already told he wants the testing to slow down so the sycophants in his administration are making it happen.

Next it will be “faith-based initiatives”.

Come for the COVID-19 test and get a free religious indoctrination, they’re both free!

I’d rather die. Literally.

Yes. Defund the testing in the White House until both of the following occur.

  1. Adequate testing is provided for the rest of us.
  2. Chiselin’ Trump admits, both publicly and sincerely, that we all need more testing.

You put it very well. I have a continual sinking feeling in my stomach. Covid, racism, the economy, all made worse by inept and corrupt leadership at the federal and state level. I am sickened at the demise of our country, the issues just keep stacking up and feel insurmountable.

Yes. You remind me that stressors don’t back away and get replaced by new ones. Stressors accumulate and that is what gives us that ‘fed-up’ attitude. There is a saturation point similar to shell shock, combat fatigue, ptsd, all the other names for it. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. I hope the answer simply lies in wait for us in January 2021 via November 2020.
