It wouldn’t surprise me if we learned that Trump was a child who enjoyed pulling the wings off flies. He’s damaged, cruelty makes him feel big and powerful, and he DGAF who’s hurt by his lashing out.
The guy who never had to fill out a job application for his entire life delights in taking people’s job away from them. At least the people fired on The Apprentice didn’t actually have jobs to lose, but now he must feel even more powerful taking actual jobs away from real people rather than just telling actors they’re not going to get a fake job.

He just fired all probationary staff at a bunch of agencies. The Washington Post reported that thousands of young employees who were told in an email they were fired. On the same front page, there is a story that veterinarians caught bird flu but it was left out of any official CDC communications of course.
I’d love to know what the GOP defines as over the line. Crippling and destroying the nation apparently doesn’t cut it.

Trans kids who get gender-affirming care are the vast minority, and every single one of them deserves to continue this care.
The hatred of our kids, the active attempt to erase them, this is genocide.

Political Revolution, a group initially created to support Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential bid, partnered with the 50501 Movement to host the nationwide anti-Trump protests on February 5. The groups say they oppose Trump policies that they argue undermine democracy and civil rights, including what they perceive as a conservative-driven agenda under Project 2025, a framework backed by some of Trump’s allies to overhaul the federal government."

I’ve ceased to become enthusiastic about these “temporary blocks”. They’re part of an old stagey…3 steps forward then two steps back. Take 3 steps forward and put the horror out there…receive a feel good 2 step backward reprive from a Court in the form of a temporary hold. Then allow it to go at 1 step forward. It is how Roe was taken off the books and Citizens United was put on the books.
3 steps forward and 2 steps back is forward progress.
