While K$H was making America safer and more secure by arresting a middle-aged judge in her courthouse, the Secretary of Defense is freely providing top secret national security information to his friends, family, the Russians, the Chinese, and everyone else with a rudimentary ability to hack a cell phone chat app.
Who was previously the Director of Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. A real radical-left Marxist lunatic, she.
A friend and I were just discussing the other day that this is what it must have been like in 1930s Germany.
Resisting ICE is the moral duty of all Americans. If it leads to all of us spending time in jail, so be it.
Dugan is a hero. A god damn hero.
Only he can serve take out berders to a victorious basketball team.
In the MM thread, someone posted about judges have the right to keep their courtrooms orderly and without disruptions. Telling someone - anyone - they can use another door - a door that is NOT hidden by any means - cannot be āillegal.ā The person was then āfoundā walking down a hallway - not running, not hiding, etc.
I take anything connected to Ka$h with a lot of salt. I read the complaint. The accusation is:
Person (here illegally) had a hearing related to domestic violence. (Person was the accused.)
ICE presented āadministrativeā warrant (not signed by a judge.)
Attorneys for person ID-ed & photographed the agents.
Judge ordered agents to go see chief judge in chambers.
Judge had staff escort person out side door.
Person made it out of courthouse, arrested on street.
Questions to me are what rights does a judge have to determine what goes in in their courtroom? What obligations does a state judge have to federal agents bearing an administrative (not judicial) warrant?
What quiet conversation would you hope they have? I honestly canāt think of any productive conversation that could be happening in either department given their leadership and the inability of the courts and the unwillingness of congress to do anything.
I think Democrats in Congress should talk about making a referal for crimes against humanity to the ICC against Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi, and ICE Barbie. Venezuela and El Salvador are signatories to the Rome Statute, the US doesnāt need to be given the targeting of those nationals to fall under the jurisdiction of the court.
Sorry, this is ludicrous generalization.
Two years ago I cosigned a loan so that an undocumented alien who is a friend of mine could purchase a home through his daughter who is a citizen because she was born here. I suppose there will be all kinds of laws against what I did before we are done here.
This is feeling more and more evil every day.
Seriously, you canāt think of any plans that the military brass could (and should) be quietly making?
From the Guardian front pageā¦
Wisconsin governor says arrest of judge is part of Trump administration effort to āundermine our judiciaryā ā
Tony Evers issues statement after Hannah Dugan was arrested Friday morning at a courthouse in Wisconsin for allegedly interfering in an immigration operation
The affidavit that justified the judgeās arrest was explicit: The warrant (for the person ICE tried to arrest/deport) was āadministrative.ā
One thought to keep in mind is that judges have the inherent authority to control the proceedings before them, subject to appellate court review. They take an oath to uphold the constitution and the law, but have a latitude of discretion in running their courtroom and chambers (this principle can lead into some interesting disputes; I recall one somewhat amusing case involving air conditioners, but I digress). Canāt speak for Judge Dugan, but I can imagine a jurist having concerns with their proceedings being interrupted and perhaps compromised by officials from a different sovereign using courtrooms like flypaper - e.g., ICE agents looking to see whether an arrestee on state charges is on the courtās docket for an initial appearance, and swooping in to arrest that person before the judge can serve her function.
On a related point, Cong. Tom Tiffany (MAGA- WI 7th) has sided with the Blondi crowd (his comment may be in one of the Journal-Sentinel links I posted over in the Morning Memo discussion thread) because what else? It is rumored that he will mount a challenge to Gov. Evers if Evers seeks reelection.
Itās time for states to start arresting federal agents breaking the law in their states. Letās start with the law against kidnapping. @ealleniii
And not just to Trump and his criminal gang. Every single Republican will pay, especially those cowards who are so (very, very quietly) against Trump.
Worried about MAGA patriots threatening your family, Congressman? Please, teach me the meaning of terrorism, because I donāt think the Republican Party understands it.
Stop the madman.
Question: is there any way that the actions of the FBI and the department of Justice in this case are unlawful under Wisconsin law? Is there any law that this clear contempt of the court violates? If so, I encourage Wisconsin to enforce their laws to the best of their ability. If not, itās time to start changing our laws. The states must protect themselves from the federal government.
