FBI agents on Tuesday raided the home of a Trumpy Colorado county clerk already under state investigation after a leak of sensitive election information to a major QAnon influencer and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.
Glad to hear she was “terrified” by the FBI raid — maybe she’ll think twice before committing a crime again.
And I’ll bet her three “friends” (co-conspirators?) are wishing they’d never met her. And hopefully they will also be “scared straight” after this.
I hope Lindell is terrified too but crack tends to make you feel invulnerable.
Or so I’ve heard.
This is a warning to all of the Republicans out there who intend to change election results and conspire to make sure Republicans win elections. There are laws around elections, anyone breaking them is going to get caught because our system requires people from both parties to examine the election process and analysis of voting patterns after elections shows when real fraud happens. The FBI will investigate, people will be raided and arrested when they break the law, as interfering with elections is a federal offense.
We can hope that is enough of a wall to keep our election system from turning into a banana republic rubber stamp for Republicans…in most places it will be, in the reddest areas the corruption may set in. We can’t depend on the justice system to save our elections though, people have to get out and vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome Republican’s cheating.

Good thing there’s no precedent for prosecution and incarceration of former campaign managers.
Nobody’s homes were “raided” yesterday. They were searched pursuant to court-issued search warrants. No doors were busted in, no weapons were drawn, nobody was held at gunpoint while the Gestapo smashed all the furniture to pieces.
To be fair, all of the subjects involved were probably … pale.

Look on the bright side. Lucky for us they decided “election fraud” should be an issue. 
I am absolutely positive this whole episode is about these guys finally getting their hands on legal speed. Adderall, whatever, they are high and they are motivated. All that wild talk is just ‘hey - drugs’ from anybody not wearing a bow tie and/or a crucifix.

The combination of indignity and perceived privilege in that statement is even greater then that of Ryan the insurrectionist.

Since the raid, Peters has been defiant even as she is investigated by local, state and federal law enforcement.
I’m old enough to remember a certain realtor from Dallas definitively claiming she wouldn’t be going to jail for her role in the 1/6 insurrection because she’s a white, blonde woman. I’d love to ask her for a comment on this, but I don’t know which prison she’s in.
Defiant works sometimes. Hoss was in the clink once and wasn’t necessarily as defiant as Peters (but close)…

It’s not a good idea to use exclusive access to commit a crime. It makes the thing a no brainer to sort out.
My wife who couldn’t give less shits about politics said that from what little she gleans in the background “these people all seem dumb as shit”. If you want to boil all this stuff down to a thick glaze…that’s it.
