FBI Found Doc On Foreign Country’s Nuclear Defense System At Mar-a-Lago

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

The Washington Post reports that among the materials the FBI seized during the Mar-a-Lago raid last month was a document that detailed a foreign country’s nuclear capabilities.

A billion can get you places. Jared knows about that.

That was my first thought too.

And if that’s so, the Mossad may not take kindly to it. Especially as cozy as Crime Family Trump is to the Saudis. And a few others in the region.

2 billion will get you twice as far.

This will end badly for TFG.

That’s what I am hoping…

Perhaps, but even Israel wouldn’t know what the US knows about what they know. You know???

Here’s a morning brain teaser: Think of what possible legitimate reason, anything at all, that one of the world’s most sociopathically crooked people would be hanging on to that. Because before lunch about six Republican leaders will have thought of stupid, nonsensical ones, and it should be a point of pride to do better. You have three hours GO.

I can think of several billion.

Jared and Munichin were able to score about 3 billion from the Saudis at the end of the Trump administration. Everybody thought the 3 billion was Trump;s reward for being a good friend. What if it was payment for Israeli nuclear defense secrets?

GOP attacks on US intelligence agencies are nothing compared to the impact all this will have on other countries’ willingness to share information with us. Who would share any kind of intelligence that might compromise a source when the commander-in-chief might take that information and show it to a golfing buddy wearing black market Google Glasses?

Poll after poll showing Ds winning among voters who rate Biden “somewhat unfavorably.” That’s not happened before. In 5 midterms for which
@pewresearch
had data, “somewhat disapprovers” have never been this supportive of his party in the upcoming election.

Very encouraging for the good guys. Hopefully there’s enough concern about the r’s embrace of fascism that we’ll retain the House and increase our margin in the Senate. Upcoming J6 hearings and the relentless news of dfg’s abundant crimes will push us across the line come November.

It’s far too late for the r’s to pivot from trumpism in the short term, nor have they demonstrated the inclination to do so.

Oh, indeed, but that’s too easy. Le-git-ti-mate reasons. Something benign, justifiable, something that wouldn’t be one of the worst crimes in history.

If the previous assumptions were the secrets were sold to Saudi’s, then this seems the obvious go to.

For those assuming the “Souvenir” theory, then NK seems right.

If Russia is the assumed customer, then the possibilities are expanded.

My worry is the GOP figures out a way to ditch Trump and a Republican cipher (a peanut farmer or something) is nominated. For all the dislike of the GOP, the presidential race is always about personalities, and that’s the case where I worry Biden’s disapproval could hurt him.

DeSantis or Rubio are, I hope, pretty tainted by their support of Trump, Dobbs, and cheering on the dismantling of democracy.

Meh, It’s Iran, and the document the DOJ gave us all a sneak peak of from May 2018, day after he pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal.

Proof that they had been cheating and lying the whole time. And also proof that we knew it, even though good people like Obama kept telling us that we could stop Iran short of actually building them.

It’s only a matter of paperwork. Jared said so. Duh!!
