Also, from what research I’ve done, 443 feet, or whatever the actual distance was (it’s around that number), is well within the effective range of an AR-15, making hitting a Trump-sized target not an extraordinary feat.

I’m sure someone has photos of this – after all, his nose received a whole lot of blow, and it is not from substances that are skin and nasal tissue friendly.

This just reminds us how much younger Trump’s VP pick is than he. I think it’s nice that Trump is willing to let a young Republican take a shot, and he probably is keeping his ear to the ground for other opportunities to have an impact.

& of course all of it is dismal. The right wing lie machine will use this to spin up more excuses for more violence outbound that nobody asked for, & to the rest of us it will be like watching a dog endlessly scratching itself or gnawing at a wound on its flank that won’t heal, knowing the dog’s activity is mechanistic but lacking any way to intervene in the mechanism other than to put a cone like the radar dish on its head.
All folly, all garbage, all “politics” and “both sides” to people who are too pure and too good in their self-service to say what is right in front of their faces, and who is doing it.
