The KGB practice of rounding up the friends/relatives/neighbors of someone already charged with “counter-revolutionary” crimes, and then also charging them with crimes simply because they knew the suspect, sure comes to mind.

We’ve seen this before, in the 12th and 13th centuries in France and northern Italy, and then elsewhere subsequently. It’s called an inquisition. No wonder John Yoo, author of the infamous “torture memo” has recently been appointed a consultant to DOJ.

Polis should be made persona non grata in the Democratic Party, at any Democratic gathering or function. In short, the Dem leadership should tell him to promptly fuck all the way off.

There shouldn’t be any problem with using AI to find networks between people to cast aspersions of conspiracy.
All they have to do is to pretend the fourth amendment doesn’t exist, have a Supreme Court that backs them up, and use Nazi propaganda techniques to communicate disinformation. Weaponization of law enforcement, shredding of American citizen rights and vindictive prosecution continues against more ordinary Americans.

These subpoenas should be squashed like a bug on trumps ass.
They’re supposed to be looking for evidence that supports a specific charge. They aren’t.
Gimme all your records on everything and everybody, and we’ll see if we can find a crime, or someone being mean to Herr Trumpenstein or one of his bootlicking minions (looking at you Patel/Blanche/Rubio/Witkoff/Bessente/Gorka/Miller/Bannon/Vance/Alito/Thomas/Hareet/Loomer/et al long list.

It seems fair to suppose that this is an attempted end run around the ‘evidence of a crime’ requirement and, hence, yes, a ‘fishing expedition.’

I guess a bishop would know. Certainly, the medieval inquisition asked such questions: who are your friends, do you know anyone who frequents the houses where heretics are known to gather, have you traveled across the border between France and Spain, and so on. Same shit, different millenium.
Not being a Colorado voter, I was unprepared for the heretofore moderate Democratic governor, Jared Polis, to give in to pressure from Trump. He offers clemency to the unrepentant Tina Peters, lending credibility to the Trump regime’s continued assault against voters and voting as she sashays triumphantly into the White House. Meanwhile he, Polis, can’t offer a morally satisfactory answer to the question of why he disregarded the advice of his clemency committee, instead firing two of them for supposed violations of the clemency process–that is, for speaking up. His behavior will satisfy nobody in Colorado, other than the pursuers of the lost cause of reversing the 2020 election results.
