FBI agents have reportedly swarmed a Washington D.C. residence belonging to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
Only about five years too late and likely just an empty box parade. Unlike certain minions, I will assume Deripaska does not chuck his old burner phones into a bottom desk drawer.
Now if only he would show up in court.
Oleg Deripaska was sanctioned by the Treasury Department in April 2018. A press release announcing the sanctions said Deripaska has been investigated for money laundering and accused of “threatening the lives of business rivals, illegally wiretapping a government official, and taking part in extortion and racketeering.”
This is Paul Manafort’s good buddy-slash-man to whom he owed several million dollars. Nice company the Trumpskyites keep.
TMFWWNBN asserts executive privilege.
Oooooh, ooooh, that should raise somebody’s blood pressure. Stroke-level would be nice.

Two US Senators from Kentucky – who are up to their necks in shady funding for new aluminum facilities in their home state – just passed a brick the size of a cinder block.
We’ll see in a few days if McTurtle changes his tune on certain pending legislative issues, then we’ll know the federales have struck pay-dirt, or pay-aluminum in this case.
Garland: “We found all sorts of evidence of criminal endeavors, but in the interests of playing nice, we’re not going to prosecute.”
He was one of the least “clown-y” characters in the show.
No real indication what they are looking for? A guy like Deripaska does a lot of dirty deeds. It could be anything.
Wasn’t Deripaska the subject or initiator or something regarding the “discredited” Steele dossier?
Seems coincidental.

Was it the same brick?
More of a ringleader.
He can just claim executive privilege.
Playing nice?!?!
I believe you’re being insufficiently cynical here when it comes to the DC Establishment, @sniffit!
Garland and his side are simply worried that going after the previous administration will open the doors to future investigations of the current one. Just because they’re Dems doesn’t mean they’re not swampy.

Jared Kushner won’t be running his family’s real estate company after leaving the White House.
The family has tapped company president Laurent Morali to become chief executive of the Kushner Companies, taking over the role that had essentially sat vacant since Jared Kushner began working full time on his father-in-law Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 and then joining the administration, reported the Wall Street Journal .

Obviously, these poor people need a tax cut, right, Mitch?
