Redfield, Giroir, and Scalise.
This should be a fact-filled extravaganza.

Here we go.
So who’s on the bench to ask questions? Anyone got a list? How many science deniers (and I’m guessing the three referenced by @maximus is a good indication)?

Scalise will have to grill him about why the FDA and CDC are in cahoots with Russia and ISIS to kill Americans.

Rep. Clyburn is formidable enough as it is, but I really hope he channels John Lewis when the stupidity starts.

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:
How much coronavirus testing can the United States do, and how much is enough? The official in charge of testing offered a dramatic new projection yesterday. Admiral Brett Giroir was on this program. He took our questions about a shortfall in testing that has constantly frustrated efforts to contain the pandemic. He said, correctly, that testing has increased a lot since the spring, and then he set a goal for the fall.
(SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED NPR BROADCAST)
BRETT GIROIR: So, yes, the demand will increase. We want to have 100 million tests per month done in this country by September, and I think we’re well on track to have that done with our point-of-care and other technologies.

Anyone who attacks Fauci here should be bound in razor wire.

Hold my beer. I’ve seen a variety of smears from the right, including how many times Fauci’s been wrong or changed course so he can’t be trusted.

I’m reading the Vanity Fair article. It’s as bad as you thought it was. Testing makes Trump look bad, and it was hitting the blue states, so the federal government is just washing its hands of any responsibility to set up a crash program to test and trace nationally. Exactly what it looked like.

Oh, I sure did. Was on line when it happened at noon yesterday.
So most of the local sheriffs have gone public, said this is unconstitutional and they would not be enforcing it. Many of them are elected and I’m campaigning to throw them all out, those that refuse to do their duty.
Our new SC justice gets sworn in this weekend. Let’s see how it plays out.

The new SC justice will help. Have had enough of Vos and Fitzgerald.

Those two need to be kicked to the curb too. It’s been over 100 days since the legislature was in session. Criminal.

A couple of sheriffs and a candidate for governor sued my gov. Jay Inslee about our mask mandate being unconstitutional. They argued he exceeded his authority under the declared public health emergency. They lost and I did a happy dance.
