OT. Where’s the love?

Cuomo is not my favorite Democrat, but he’s being a Mensch on this.

Trump will tweet him out later today.

Time to bail, Dr. Fauci, before you make the final plunge into the Trump abyss…

We could really use you to stay on the side of good.

Jesus Horatio Christ, can’t this guy give it a fucking rest? I’m certain MO wasn’t always this stupid. Harry Truman came from there.

So, if I’m understanding this correctly, I am suppose to blame Grandma and the Chinese for putting me in this situation. Being a white male is so tiring…

If Fauci thinks this will mean anything other than sycophancy, he is mistaken.

Uh oh. First denial, then bargaining…

Oh, btw, Mrs VH told me that Mark Meadows has still not resigned from his house seat after having taken over as CoS.

He hasn’t taken over as COS yet.

I’ll trust Fauci is willing to speak truth to power when he comes out and explicitly says ending social distancing, quarantines, remain in place, etc too soon is unwise and dangerous, and adds that 15 days of it was far too optimistic from the moment it was announced and it’ll have to go on much longer, whether Trump agrees with that or not.

There have been some positive noises on that score coming out of Washington this morning.

“[New White House chief of staff] Mark Meadows and I have already spoken to the president twice this morning,” treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin told reporters.

Must be he’s not too optimistic about Trump’s chances in November and/or his chances of remaining the CoS.

I think I’m over Fauci.

I think he’s keeping his powder dry for what’s important. So, in terms of telling the American people to keep social distancing, wash their hands, don’t take unproven remedies, he’s going to tell it as it is. He’s also a truth teller when it comes to lack of ventilators, PPE, other supplies, as well as testing capabilities.

But he has to assuage a massive ego just to be able to hold on to his job. I think he knows it’s more critical to Americans that he keep his job than it is for him personally.

Trump’s m.o. is to double down. It keeps the focus on him, as does his faux town hall meeting

He’s fast becoming mine.

That guy should be taken down before he runs in 2024/28. He’s dangerous.
