I don’t really want to do [my job].

“It’s a sport now in Washington to pit me against the President and I don’t really want to do that,”

There is NO comparison…
One is a career grifter, criminal and liar
The other is a career professional with credibility, integrity and moral compass!

AND
Let’s not forget…Trump is a bigly bad hoaxter:

162,000 wouldn’t call it sport, Dr. Fauci. If they could.

but that’s the nature of politics in America…the media has exacerbates it to a point of no return.
Dr. retire. Let the asshats fight it amongst themselves. You deserve a rest.

The good doctor would agree I’m sure. He doesn’t want to be THE news.

Trump is the one doing the “pitting,” Tony.

Science is not Republican or Democratic. Sort of like the plumbing in your home, it is not Democratic or Republican.

But when certain politicians plug up the works with enormous amounts of sh!t, then like plumbing, it is not as effective.

Let the scientist do the science, speak the science, educate the science and then like having effective plumbing, this can all start working again.

If you tell the truth Trump has made you the enemy an unleashed the cowards who threaten by E-Mail.
Or they show up at peaceful demonstrations armed.
You might as well call him a liar publicly.

It needs but one foe to breed a war, not two, Master Warden.

What he calls ‘sport’ I call ‘the voice of science in the alt-universe.’ I wonder if he realizes how important it is for that voice to exist.

The quote seems kind of vauge and ChuckToddish—oh, it’s “washington” that pits you guys against eachother??? Cause we can pretty much tell who’s doing the pitting and it ain’t “washington” or “both sides”— but it’s hard for me to be angry at Fauci.
He’s in an impossible situation and the country is far better with him in his position. It’s different than the generals who stayed on because they thought, incorrectly, they could rein in trump. They couldn’t, but at this point Fauci is doing much of the public relations work that an actual president with credibility would be performing, with the bonus that trump seems to understand that firing him would not rebound to his benefit.

I was looking forward to seeing the grizzly take on the orange teacup poodle.

Unfortunately being against drump is part of being against the spread of the pandemic.

Dr. Fauci is far too good a person to stoop to his level. Thank goodness we have at least one medical professional in the “administration” who is willing to tell the truth.

Fauci is a grown-up.

Trump is a three-year-old who, unfortunately, has evil minions and the tools of the presidency.

However, because of things that, I believe, call for his expertise and authority, Fauci is positioning himself well.

“It’s a sport now in Washington to pit me against the President and I don’t really want to do that,” the health official said.

“Hell, I don’t even want to be associated with the son of a bitch. It’s a blot on my reputation,” he added.

It’s like the US has 10 Kazakhstans. Things are bad here, but you can say there are reasons. To see this in the US is inexcusable
