The Trump administration went to the Supreme Court Wednesday, asking for the justices to intervene in the case that will likely determine whether independent agencies in the executive branch can continue in their current form — or whether they will be brought fully under President Donald Trump’s sway.  It asked the Court to block the…

O/T: Trump Caves on Tariffs!! One wonders what the delusional story will be about the “WHY” and how he will spin the face saving excuses. The question is: Which face?? He is more than “two-faced,” so how many faces could be saved?

The Supremes will bow to Trump.

And what a brilliant time to bring all the independent agencies fully under the sway of presidents – when the current president is very very likely not only the dumbest and most ignorant but also the most malevolent and most corrupt president we’ve ever had … We’ll be able to see immediately how very well it works to transform a democracy that for almost 250 years had at least some checks on a would-be despot’s power to nearly a full dictatorship in one fell swoop.

We can only hope that the specter of Donny’s stupid cruel infantile, criminally inclined and half-nuts brain constrains a couple people on that court, but recent history sure isn’t providing any guarantees there.

He’s faces enough to get out of the room with his sense of entitlement unscathed. The con man.

“The push is part of the administration’s quest to solidify the unitary executive…”

I think we can all agree this administration’s approach to America is one of a “urinary executive.”

Yes, and causing discerning people to be “pissed!”

We know that Donnie, aka Cadet Bone Spurs, was never in the military because he would have learned to “never sh_t in your own mess kit.” He does it repeatedly.

Everybody who didn’t vote for Hillary in 2016 allowed Mango Mussolini to pack the court with wingnuts.

And here we are. “But her e-mails!”

While I cried, smoked, and drank myself stupid on the Wednesday morning after in 2016, I stop short of condemning everyone who voted for Trump back then. A lot of people weren’t following along and just didn’t know. I don’t understand it myself, but I know it’s true.

For example, being a Republican and purely out of habit, my own mother voted for Trump in 2016. She just didn’t know, but she learned from her mistake. Now, at 88 years old, one of her greatest pleasures would be to see him removed from the White House, humiliated, and jailed.

Well, what he’s done in backing down from his initial position, intended to frighten other nations into coming to him to ask for a deal that grants them relief, is nothing less than negotiating with himself. You probably need two faces to do that. Two faces and no principles other than self-preservation.

I’m convinced my own mother made it an extra year just on pure loathing of the man. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s now a 5-foot specter haunting him. She was convinced he was not only ruining the country, but stealing her Tylenol every afternoon. And that she was regularly having lunch with Hillary.

What about the ones who voted in 2024? It’s not like there was no evidence this time around.

Which is no surprise. They’ve been gunning for Humphrey’s Executor for many years now.

There is no excuse for them.

I just wish they’d saved that decision for a normal Republican president instead of an actual fascist. (I realize that gap may now be illusory.) I guess they just couldn’t wait.

Not sure about that. If they give TSF this, then there is nothing preventing TSF from taking over the FED and dumping Powell and the regional governors. I think they might draw the line here, even though they do not give a damn about any of the other independent agencies.
