Far-Right Vlogger Insists He Was Doing The Lord’s Work By Tanking Jan. 6 Plea Deal

Anthime Joseph Gionet — the far-right internet troll who goes by “Baked Alaska” and who livestreamed his break-in at the Capitol on Jan. 6 — claimed on Wednesday that he blew up his plea deal earlier that day because he was actually following God’s light and not accidentally tying himself to a lit rocket like Wile E. Coyote.

God felt that the plea deal was too lenient and wanted you to to some hard time. Works for me.

I guess this guy is the opposite of what Gaetz said about women protesting the SCOTUS plan to overturn Roe (something about being over educated and coming home to cook something in the microwave and spend time with cats.). He’s undereducated, goes through the drive-through at McDonalds, and sleeps in his car with his dog.

… Gionet explained the holiness of him claiming innocence while simultaneously pleading guilty at his hearing…

“I’m guilty. I’m innocent.”

Just, what-the-fruk is “Parading, picketing, demonstrating” inside a Federal building?
Is that one of those “we refuse” to charge a felony of breaking and entering and trespassing on Federal property… so we will create a misdemeanor charge?

For the life-of-me, I cannot comprehend the court’s almost unilateral Velvet-Glove treatment of these goons and goonettes.

Yet another fanatical wingnut shows himself to be a slimy hypocrite. Rather like the GQP senators running away from Alioto’s draft opinion.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Ann Aloi disputed Gionet’s claim that the government had threatened to slap him with a felony,

They should, and add Terminal Stupidity and Criminal @Assholery to whatever charges he already has.

I feel like judges and courts are not appreciative of grandstanding and having their time wasted.

Don’t make fun of a person who tells God what to do.
What a idiot.

Voices in your head telling you what to do isn’t god, it’s more likely a mental illness thing.

I think he’s simply grifting thinking everything will turn out OK when it likely won’t.

In fact, Gionet was “almost in tears” afterward because “God filled me with the Holy Spirit.”

Dumbass is trying to outrage fundraise off his “telling it to the man”. That man will be sentencing him whether or not he takes the plea deal. This will not go well.

“and God just put it on my heart to just speak the truth…”

So, God told him to tell the truth and he did. That’s a positive step. The next step is to realize that the truth is that he is an idiot, that attacking the Capitol was a crime, and that’s what God has been trying to tell him all along.

They probably agreed to drop felony charges if he would plead guilty. They just won’t drop the charges if he rejects the plea deal. He’s too stupid to understand what is going to happen.
