Some of the far-right’s most notorious figures in the GOP will be on the ballot Tuesday, when North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Idaho hold their primaries alongside Oregon and Kentucky.

Come on TPM, do better. Cawthorn caused Art Pope’s hand-picked candidate to withdraw in a district drawn by Pope. Art Pope owns North Carolina and anyone who gets in his way gets taken out. That’s who is targeting Cawthorn, it has absolutely nothing to do with Cawthorn’s ‘coke and orgy’ statement. Charlie Pierce got it completely right in this article, get with the program: https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a39841527/madison-cawthorn-insider-trading-airport-gun/

The overall R strategy seems to be blame Ds for everything and when that works, claim a mandate for the most extreme positions even though they are unpopular. Then, when back in charge, lie cheat and steel to stay in charge even if that means putting an end to American democracy, such that it still exists in this sea of misinformation, disinformation and outright lies that media – mass and unregulated – laps up to drive ratings for money.
Sorry to deliver the bad news, but this is how civilizations fall, although I suspect this country would end up a lot like the movie Idiocracy based on current trajectory.

What is all this fear over Obama? I don’t remember Barrack trying to ban pork, demand women cover themselves from head to toe, hell he didn’t even marry a white woman, so why is Kathy Barnette having a cow over some married man, who has had the same spouse for 30 years?
I was going to rag on her some more but Wiki took her page down, and Kathy’s pissed.

What I see in tomorrow’s primaries is a data dump about the crazies that can tell us what we need to do in November. And where exactly the worst threats to democracy are and how serious they are in these particular states.

Aw that’s a real shame that they took that idiot’s page down.

Thanks to the Leak of the Abortion decision, Republicans have fallen all over themselves to out-crazy one another.
The timing seemingly is helping put someone unelectable for PA two highest Republican primaries.

I have confidence in all our Democratic candidates in PA…but what really scares me is that I once thought that Trump was unelectable too.

If Mussolini Mastriano loses will he and his followers religiously attack our State Capital in Harrisburg to become Pope of Pennsylvania?

I already mailed in my ballot as well.
All my Republican coworkers (which is basically all my coworkers) are talking about making time to go vote tomorrow.

I like going in to fill the circle and put my paper into the machine. but I live in a small town, so it’s easy enough.

Dropped off our PA ballots on Friday. Fetterman for Senate and Shapiro for Governor got our votes.
We will watch with glee as Barnette and Mastriano get the GQP vote.

While I understand the sentiment, the idea that those two will be (Mastriano will be. Barnette could be.) on the general election ballot scares the crap out of me.

It’s best if these far righters win, of course. Then give them the mic.
By the way, among all those running in these Republican primaries, what are their stands on abortion?
The PA GQP will be hitting rock bottom with Mastriano and Barnette. We PA DEMS are hoping for, but not expecting, a moment of clarity for the rank-and-file GOP voters when these nutball extremists get the nod for the general election. We can then spend general election season eviscerating these two candidates and GOTV.
