Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr. wants the FBI to get to the bottom of what he claims is a conspiracy against him involving former university officials.
HUH? “Criminal conspiracy?” Just might be that the board members are doing their job of conducting over site, investigating immoral and self-serving behavior, and honoring their fiduciary responsibilities? What an egomaniac!
Maybe you DON’T want to get the FBI involved in an investigation of Liberty U. They have a habit of charging anyone they discover who has broken the law.
To me it just sounds like a Trump crony is calling on Trump to sic the gestapo on his detractors. I mean from the article Falwell’s claim is:
“Our attorneys have determined that this small group of former board members and employees, they’re involved in a criminal conspiracy, are working together to steal Liberty property in the form of emails and provided them to reporters,”
Anyone know what the property laws are in regard to cyber postings and emails? That is if I send an email on a work computer, does work own those emails? What about receipt of emails?
It sounds ridiculous other than Falwell calling on Trump to use the powers of Government to include the FBI and Justice Department punish Falwell’s detractors.
Falwell Jr isn’t very Christian -that we all knew - but he’s also not very smart. Are we sure he’s not one of Trump’s illegitimate kids? He’s sure giving Don Jr and Eric a run for their money.
A lot of schadenfreude this week. Mr. Falwell’s hypocrisies are catching up to him. Not that any of this is surprising…Liberty University has never been about education. The Falwells have always been more like another variation of Jim and Tammy Bakker with their make us rich schemes. Is anyone actually surprised that their sense of entitlement now includes having government agencies do their bidding?
“Our attorneys have determined that this small group of former board members and employees, they’re involved in a criminal conspiracy, are working together to steal Liberty property in the form of emails and provided them to reporters,” he told Hill.TV.
