Fake Trump Elector Now On Track To Take Over Wisconsin Elections Commission

Republican Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) member Robert Spindell, who was one of the fake Trump electors in the MAGA scheme to overturn the 2020 election, now appears poised to become the chair of the six-member board after a fellow GOP commissioner abruptly resigned on Wednesday.

“And so whether there was fraud or not, that’s really irrelevant,” the elections commissioner argued.

For reasons that escape me this comment conjures up an old Far Side cartoon.

Could it be the raging inanity?

It feels like something is missing from here (unless I missed it): The chair may be a Trumper, but does that mean that the other Republicans on the committee are as well?

He is soon to be chair and, due to the other two voting to delay taking action on a new chairman, I’m guessing that they are not as much in denial as he is. It could be that they frown on his being one of the ten peckerheads.

His job is to represent Republicans?

I would have thought it was to represent “voters”.

Twp different groups, I guess.

That’s my confusion as well but I think the problem is clear. He’s not interested in fairness. What’s new in the GQP?

I think there’s a lot missing from this story.

I seriously want to know what’s likely to happen when this or another GOP stooge throws an election, and the Republican candidate declares victory as a result. Because clearly, that’s gonna happen. Are we ready?

[“Two of my core values are to practice service above self and to display personal integrity. And to me, that integrity demands acknowledging the truth even when the truth is painful,” the Republican commissioner said. “In this case, the painful truth is that President Trump lost the election in 2020 — lost the election in Wisconsin in 2020. And the loss was not due to election fraud.”]

…He said goodbye, because of political reasons

Ya’ll are missing this part, or are discounting it:

While Spindell indicated in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel earlier this week that he doesn’t necessarily support dissolving the WEC, he claimed Gableman’s review was important because Republicans “feel” that something was wrong with the 2020 election.

This! This! This is what’s wrong with Trumpers, Republicans, and a bunch of folks in this country! They feel that something is wrong, or off, or out of whack, but for the life of them they can not articulate it.

Despite Scott Walker and the gerrymandered state leg I keep thinking of WI as purple but is that just not the case?

The DOJ just let it be known how interested they are with these fake electors so I’m not terribly worried about this guy yet.

I think that his name is actually Robber Swindle. You should fix that.

I believe it was The Guardian that called Wisconsin a failed state, like three or four years ago.

“…because Republicans “feel” that something was wrong with the 2020 election.” Spindell

Your “feels” are just lies, motherfucker.

I feel… I feel… I feel… I don’t like this result. It didn’t make me happy. I expected an easy win and that didn’t happen. Something about this feels … not right

Two things:

The GOP is working overtime to be in the news because of the J6 Hearings in two weeks…to get us to Gloom-Doom talking and Handwringing…

Second, after the start of the Hearings and their content, what the GOP pols have to say will come off as petty, childish and guilt-ridden

Abruptly “resigned”, eh? Just “abruptly” decided to go?? Just like that???

Riiiiiiiiiight…. And for anyone who believes that, I have a bridge that I can get you a really good deal on.
