In TrumpWorld the claim of “stupidity” (nod, nod, wink, wink) could become the go-to insurrection defense to use before MAGA judges.

They’ve actually found a missing voting machine from Michigan up on EBay for $1200.

Oh, the impulse to collect is a weird, addictive thing. I met a guy once who collects postmarks. I didn’t tell him that was a stunningly boring thing to collect but I thought it. He said lots of them are very rare because in the early days of machine mail stamping inventors would come up with a new postmarking machine, take it to the patent office, and they’d take it to the post office and run it for a day to test it. Thus some are very rare. I’m nodding my head, listening to all this, and thinking there must be thousands of goofy niche collecting hobbies like that. Pez dispensers, egg scales, God knows what. There’s nowt so queer as folk, when you get right down to it.

Thinly sliced baloney is still baloney.

Some of these people involved are in the higher calling form of mind. As such, the moral issues of lying, cheating and performing real crimes are nullified by the idea they are doing the right thing. The ends justify the means.

Of course, that’s the ticket: “Aren’t we supposed to be tolerating differences in this country?”

Cathy Latham was the county GOP chairwoman. But she had an accomplice in the county government who apparently was actively involved in the data breach. From the CNN article:

Latham communicated directly with the then-Coffee County elections supervisor about getting access to the office, both before and after the breach…

…Three days after the breach, Latham texted the Coffee County elections supervisor, “Did you all finish with the scanner?”

Lock 'em up. Lock 'em all up.

Dr. Oz bucks Trump on the 2020 election — says he wouldn’t have objected to certifying Biden’s win on Jan. 6 - Raw Story - Celebrating 18 Years of Independent Journalism
But when talking to NBC News on Tuesday, Oz said that he wouldn’t have supported Trump’s flagship issue: his false claims about the 2020 election.

"I would not have objected to” certifying the election result, Oz told Vaughn Hillyard. “By the time the delegates and those reports were sent to the U.S. Senate, our job was to approve it, which is what I would have done.”

Don’t knock it. Lotta money on the other side, and plenty of sheep to fleece.

Dunno why I keep hanging out with tofuburger-eating-treehugging-hippies. What’re they going to offer? A hit of their joint?

Insurrectionists have feelings too.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Calling President Biden’s recent prime-time address “deeply offensive and upsetting,” a group representing the nation’s armed insurrectionists has complained that the speech hurt their feelings.

The group, the National Society of Heavily Armed Insurrectionists, is one of the most prominent associations of insurrectionists and rioters in the country, experts say.

Harland Dorrinson, the executive director of the N.S.H.A.I., said that insurrectionists across the country watched Biden’s speech “in a state of profound distress.”

“Insurrectionists felt that Biden was really singling them out and bullying them,” he said. “The entire speech was extremely triggering from an insurrectionist point of view.”

Dorrinson said that he hoped that, in the future, Biden would “choose his words more carefully” and avoid saying things that might sadden America’s heavily armed insurrectionists.

“The media has offered a very distorted view of us,” he said. “They relentlessly show us storming the Capitol, using flagpoles to smash windows, and vandalizing congressional offices. But insurrectionists have feelings, too.”
