Yes, a black woman. Looks like pockets of good ole boys can still be found along the Dem spectrum.

What an asshole! Converting to a GOPer isn’t going to save his seat!

He wants some of that Russian money and deep inside, he must be a racist too!

Responding to the news of Van Drew’s planned switch, Suleiman told Politico that the congressman was a “coward” who “took the easy way out.”

Well said.

So Dem voters in a Trump district are so pro-impeachment that they told their congressman that if he voted against impeachment they would dump his ass. That’s a good thing. It shows that the popularity of impeachment extends deep into the country.

Anyone who “meets” with the stain has demonstrated by that action that they 1) have no shame and 2) don’t understand what’s in store. I hope it was a nice lie he left with, because the destruction of his career has commenced.

I can find more.

btw, Rose voted for an inquiry and he supports impeachment.

btw, though 17 Democratic votes might join McCarthy, that means that 14 ‘Trump district’ Democrats are willing to risk their seats.

Are they ‘jokers’?

Would your version of an American progressive would have won either Rose’s or Delgado’s seat?

we’ll never know, because the DCCC won’t ever give those kind of candidates the support they give their “Blue Dogs”… I mean, the progressives that did run and lose did so without DCCC backing – and they generally ran in places that the DCCC figured were hopeless to begin with.

In competitive districts, the Dem establishment goes out of its way to recruit “moderate” candidates, and support them against progressives – and in most years, those moderates lose. But when a wave election happens, and moderates in competitive districts win, its heralded as a victory for their strategy — despite the same strategy losing consistently in previous election when there wasn’t a wave.

I’m guessing that you mean primaries, so examples please?

this site does an excellent job of tracking the moves of the DCCC & Dem establishment in opposition to progressive candidates in primary elections.

Why is nominating or supporting a moderate Democrat wrong?

As it relates to moderates losing, what exactly is the %?

“A ‘no’ vote on impeachment will suppress Democratic turnout down-ballot, which my organization cannot sustain,” Suleiman wrote.

Why on Earth would this suppress Dem down ticket voting? Is she saying that New Jersey Dems in this district are a bunch of wimps? I find that too incredible to believe. What gas lighting bull fuckery is this?

Is your version of a progressive good enough to win conservative or moderate districts?

Strange, I think that you’re asking me to Google.

???

I believe that when the party supports progressive candidates who show promise thanks to grassroots organizing, those candidates can win in competitive districts by attracting thousands of new/infrequent voters to the polls. It was Obama’s skill as a organizer that lead to the size of his victory (I think any Democrat would have won in 2008…Obama’s margin was due, in large part, to the organization he built during the primaries, and kept going throughout the general election.

Though Will Hurd’s seat will be a major test of that, please name at least five progressive candidates who would have won in moderate, Republican leaning districts?
