Facebook on Wednesday unveiled a long list of changes to its “governing documents,” that is, its terms of usage and data usage policies, the documents that spell out exactly what Facebook can do with users’ data and how users can adjust their settings, including disabling the ability to vote on future changes. Facebook defended that specific change by saying it would continue to solicit comment from users and carefully review all feedback in making changes, but that it felt voting prized “quantity” of responses over “quality.” More to come on the changes on TPM IdeaLab.
