Dewine signed the bill. It’s a corporate bailout. I wonder if he is implicated?

You would think an ethical governor would not sign such a thing. I am not from Ohio, so I don’t know the details.

Lesson for grifters; better to fuck them over now, because later may never come for you.

Hey, ho, way to go, Ohio!

So where does DeWine fit into this? And how is this going to impact 2020, where Ohio looks to be in play… with Kasich set to speak for Biden, is this going to hurt trump?

That is what I really care about…

This is a staggering piece of corruption. The problem is that Ohio is so gerrymandered that even when Dems win the popular vote, GOP retains a supermajority. That will continue unless Dem candidates flip two Ohio Supreme Court seats in November.

Over the years, Company A allegedly spent more than $60 million on the so-called “Householder Enterprise,” funding pass-through groups and politicians in pursuit of the bailout it ultimately got last year.

It seems that “Company A” was similar to “All Country LLC” in Trump family’s decades long tax fraud (exposed by NYT and cited in Mary Trump’s book) - it specifically set up to launder $$$!

Birds of the corrupt and crooked feather support each other…

How long before Trump and Barr will interfere?

If you dim the lights, look into a mirror, and say “GOP” three times, Tony Soprano appears.

Now that the Feds are executing its felons, why not hang a few white collar scammers stealing from the public purse?

The Davis Besse plant funded a good chunk of the Oak Harbor School District that I once substitute taught for, nice schools, then the funding started drying up, and the town and school district suffered

it also once had corrosion so bad that it almost blew out a pipe in it’s cooling system that would have been a massive disaster for Lake Erie

This is a prime example of why we need to have all campaign financing and other political spending completely open to the public for viewing. All the dark money being pushed around in secret is poisoning our democracy, it’s how the wealthy really keep control of the political system. That’s why they see people like AOC, Schiff, Warren, and other Democrats as a threat, because they want to tear the system down and make it work for the average American once again. That would mean none of these special legislative favors, tax policy that actually makes the wealthy pay their taxes at all (not to mention their fair share), and all the support for the poor workers that the wealthy abuse for their fortunes.

Note that this is mainly a Republican scheme now, the plutocrats have given up on the Democrats largely…they think they can control the nation by keeping Republicans in power, and use social issues as the wedge to do that. It would not be surprising if Trump was wired into this…he’s doing everything he can to damage democracy and our confidence in the government, and into that power vacuum a populist easily could manage to take over and give the wealthy everything they wanted. It’s just another reason why the vote in November is so critical, with Republicans in charge, or even with the power to block things, this will not be stopped…at least the Democrats want to do something about it, with people like Warren pushing hard to get rid of all this bad behavior by corporations and the wealthy.

How long until these very fine people get Trump decrying how the deep state picked on them?

Bill Barr will sweep this all under the rug and Chiselin’ Trump will eventually pardon all of them.

The Dems need to leverage this to turn Ohio blue in the upcoming election. Start the commercials showing the difference between the numbers of GOP vs Dem indicted for corruption.

After glancing at the IRS site on this, I want to know just what kind of Social Welfare this was masquerading as and how they got away without reporting the income benefitting individuals. Just based on reading the first few sentences here.

Also towards the end.

The promotion of social welfare does not include direct or indirect participation or intervention in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. However, a section 501(c)(4) social welfare organization may engage in some political activities, so long as that is not its primary activity.
