It’s more than ‘‘a shame.’’ You’re not ambassador anymore. No need for diplomatic jargon.

The reason Trump cancelled his visit is because Obama is going in September and there will be comparisons.

The whole Greenland thing is a smoke-screen for something else. Makes me wonder what Putin’s up to.

Sublime summary from Denmark’s Ostergaard: “Reality surpasses imagination.”

The whole “Trump wanting to buy Greenland” rumour was probably leaked by one of Trump’s aides 'cos

“I think it’s sad a fucking national disgrace, honestly, because this is just not the way you the way a goddamn 4-year-old child would treat an ally,” Gifford said on CNN Wednesday. “And to cancel the trip in this way like an infant throwing his toys out of the pram is just a shame sickening example of this president’s unfitness. It’s absolutely a shameful.”

Punched it up a bit for you. IMO we need to quit treating Fat Donny like we would any other president who makes a gaffe or a misstep with an ally. We use phrases like “it’s a shame” to describe an outdoor wedding that gets rained out. This guy is an out of control toddler throwing a tantrum in the store where they keep all the nuclear codes right at toddler-height by the checkout lanes.

“fucking national disgrace” is an objective term, by anyone’s measure.

The president is not well.

The entire world has already formed a vividly embarrassing opinion comparing the current president and his immediate predecessor.

And, like the absolute dullard he is, Fat Donny decides that not showing up - thereby giving Obama all of the publicity (and now in contrast to F.D.'s tantrum) - is the best option. What a cowardly moron.

Gifford pointed out that Trump’s previously planned visit was not just a bilateral visit with the prime minister, but also a state dinner that would’ve been the first for a sitting U.S. president since Bill Clinton in 1997.

Is it possible that Trump got wind of the menu and, when it didn’t include fast food or chocolate cake, he figured the menu wouldn’t appeal to him?

I’m waiting for Trump to double down and publicly blame his not going on Obama.

Dumb ass always thinks he is 1 step ahead of everything.
This time to avoid total embarrassment, if he is even capable of feeling it.

That makes sense.

Think someone replacing your '98 Buick with a new Tesla and asking you,

“Any difference?”

The Danes are not amused. All of these are appropriate but a spoiled child sums it up.

The reality is that Trump is so damn fragile that he cannot bear the thought of President Obama visiting Denmark after he does. smdh.

I’m going with poster on another thread: the whole cancellation and Greenland controversy is a stalking horse for Putin: Vlad’s advantages here are driving another wedge between us and our allies and preventing the formation of uniform western Arctic policy.
Agent Orange may really be so self-involved, but, strangely, the symptoms of his dementia consistently lead to actions which align with Russia’s perceived interests.
