I know.
Open letter to @pshah
Thank you.
Sorry about that.

It appears this guy’s political career is over before it started:

This has been covered elsewhere today, but bears repeating after the SB ad last night that advocated shooting up Democrats:

Trump pushes back at those saying he’s lost grip on GOP | TheHill
[Trump] added: “I am almost unblemished in the victory count, and it is considered by the real pollsters to be the strongest endorsement in U.S. political history.”
Is that a commandment or an epitaph?

it is considered by the real pollsters to be the strongest endorsement in U.S. political history.”
I guess he got the No True Scotsman from his mother’s side.
Ronna McDaniel has never held elected office and has never been a political activist, as far as I can tell from Wikipedia, so it does seem presumptuous of her as RNC chair to censure two elected Republicans, setting aside everything else.
I guess since there is no presumptive head of the GQP, maybe she considered herself the default head of the party?
Otherwise, I have no idea how she was allowed to do what she did.

These various official ranking members of the Republican party who are ad-libbing vitriolic incendiary lies and baseless claims and insane call to action - are out of control -
Kinda like a cornered animal. Flight is not an option - so it’s all fight. Expect it to get continually worse so long as the instigators can still incite a mob - or just one, lone nutjob.
Just look at the list of incidents from street incidents to flat out stochastic terrorism attributed to Trump since 2015. From homeless people getting beat up to the MAGA bomber, two synagogue massacres as well as other mass shootings and what you can call the penultimate act, the 1/6 insurrection and coup attempt.

I think Moscow Mitch is every bit as fascist as TDFG. He just pretends to believe in democracy, and he’s not pretending very hard any more.
All Mitch cares about is winning elections and staying in power. He’ll put up with Trump as long as he’s useful for that end.
For all the good it will do, Ricochet could have written the letter to his dog. Totally useless waste of time and energy.

Trump pushes back at those saying he’s lost grip on GOP | TheHill
Why wouldn’t he? I would be more concerned if this liar said the opposite.

[Trump] added: “I am almost unblemished in the victory count, and it is considered by the real pollsters to be the strongest-smelling endorsement in U.S. political history.”
“…and aideth the growth of plants.”

He’ll put up with Trump as long as he’s useful for that end.
My emphasis. And that is the question. Have Mitch et al. made that calculation? I’ve thought for years they’d dump him the instant he cost them one more vote than he brings in. If their polling tells them Trump reliably drives away more voters than he reliably brings with him, then over the gunwales he goes.

Is that a commandment or an epitaph?
At this point? It’s both.
Hawley’s 1/6 fist pump mug is just as tacky and worthless as Ground zero merchandise sold after 9/11.
I bet he makes a lot off it.

Leave it to Trumpian Republicans to sin against the 11th Commandment.
They label the infidels as RINOs first, so there is no violation of the 11th. Besides, Trump came down the escalator and proclaimed “I am the chosen one,” which makes Reagan a false idol.

The problem is that the Republican Party is eventually doomed.
Help me here. What exactly is the problem?
There is one part of this story’s headline that I was wary about:
“Ex-RNC Chair”
The more we get into actual, working GOPers as being dissatisfied with Trump and Trumpism, the better things woud,be. Even the actual, working pols seem to have some qualifier as being able to withstand Drumpf’s disapproval: “retiring”…“in a safe state or district”, etc.
We are nowhere near the amount which would tip the GOP as a group to make the kind of assessment we need.
In the meantime: mum’s the word…and this:
“Golly gee! I talk to my Republicans colleagues Congress who are disturbed at how things are, but they are afraid of …”
